Good morning, I am looking for a midwife to do a home birth. We do not have a budget at this time, but are wanting to use our insurance which is Cigna. I will need some guidance with my birth plan but as of now I know I want to do a home, unmediated birth.

More than 5 years experience as postpartum doula, able to provide help with breastfeeding and bottle feeding if needed, willing to help with dishes and laundry, less than $60/hr.

I'm looking to have my second child here at home on the farm, want a natural non invasive birth with support from someone who's seen a thing or 2. My Budget is no higher than $5000 as I just need someone there for the birth. I'm not one to say that you need 20 years experience but preferably someone who's been doing this for more than 5. I am looking for a doula/midwife who can support my natural/physiological birth plan and who can advocate for me within the hospital setting. I want to be free to move around during labor, possibly use a labor tub, push with my contractions instead of purple pushing, and deliver my placenta naturally. I would prefer a doula/midwife who I knowledgeable about hospital policies and feels comfortable advocating my wishes while I am focused on breathing through contractions.

This is my first pregnancy, and I’d like to explore holistic options vs traditional OB And hospital births. I do not know a lot about midwivery besides some initial research but would like to explore that route for our care.
