- birth in hospital (Vassar - Poughkeepsie NY) - Optum OB - covered by Aetna insurance - birth plan (laboring): quiet, natural birth, dim light and calming music, minimal engagement - nurses to discuss with husband/doula - birth plan (delivery): calm and positive, husband by my side, no vacuum/foceps/episiotomy, husband to catch baby if possible - birth plan (after): immediate skin to skin, golden hour (weighing can wait until after), husband to cut cord once it’s completely white and not pulsing, no bath/vernix wiping, exclusively breast feeding, baby to stay in room

I would like to give birth at home but live in a basement apartment so I may need to find a birthing center. I have medicaid insurance and would love someone covered but am willing to pay 4.5k for the midwife and doula. I want a no-intervention birth with Ina Mays style of positioning.
