Service introduction

As a doula I offer physical, emotional , informational and advocacy support to all my clients Physical support can often include the use of massage, pressure, and soothing touch. Doulas create a calm environment, assist with water therapy, TENS unit therapy and other coping techniques as well as help keep you nourished with food, and drinks during labor. Emotional support helps people feel a sense of strength, safety, support and empowerment during and after the birth. Examples of emotional support include encouragement and praise, helping you see your situation more positively, keeping you company, showing that they care for you, and helping you debrief after the birth. Doulas can also support you with information during pregnancy, birth and postpartum. For example, they can guide you and your partner through labour and suggest techniques like breathing, relaxation, movement, and changing of positions depending on labor progression. As a doula, I can help you find evidence-based information about your options, and can help explain medical procedures for better understanding. As far as advocacy goes, I will not speak on your behalf. However, I will support you in your right to make decisions about your body and your baby. I will always foster a sense of open communication and clarity so that your entire birth team knows and understands your wishes.

Having Daniella as our doula was the best decision for our most recent birth. Daniella helped us write our birth plan, find the right doctor that fit our preferences, coached both my husband and I on labor strategies, and so much more. I was able to ask her any questions I had about labor and/or breastfeeding and she answered them all with kindness and without judgement. She is very informed about birth and with her healthcare experience, she made our time in the hospital very smooth. She knew what questions to ask the nurses and helped me continue progressing in labor. She provided tools for me to use during labor and helped me work through contractions when needed. She also gave us space when my husband and I were working well together and stepped in to offer some advice on movements and/or breathing techniques. She brought candles and essential oils to the hospital and made sure the room was set up just as I wanted to create a calm birth space! And when I reaching my due date and facing a potential induction, she met with me at a coffee shop and helped ease my worries, knowing I did not want to be induced. I really needed that in the moment, and I am so grateful she took the time to suggest we meet and chat. It just shows how thoughtful, compassionate, and genuine she is. I cannot recommend her services enough! She is an incredible doula, and I know things would not have gone as smooth if we hadn’t hired Daniella. Abilene , TX is getting a good one!

I never realized how much support is needed during birth. However, I am glad I was able to have a doula to not only support me but also my husband as we welcomed our little girl. Daniella was vital to my success of having a natural birth I desired. She advocated my wishes that followed my birth plan so my husband and I could solely focus on laboring. If you are scared, anxious or just want another support person, I highly suggest getting a doula. I am so glad I did!
