Hi families! I'm Da'Vonna Henderson but I go by Vonna :) I'm a Certified Full-Spectrum Doula and a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist. I'm based in the Champaign-Urbana area but willing to travel up to an hour away to provide services. I dabbled in birth work for about 3 years before I decided to become officially certified in September of 2026. As a mommy of 4, I'm all too familiar with the labor and delivery process. I'm also familiar with the feeling of being undermined and dismissed. As your doula, my job would be to advocate when you feel unheard, give comfort when you feel stressed and to provide safety when you feel threatened. I'm here to give unwavering support to families during an extremely beautiful yet vulnerable time in their lives. My arms are open to work with any and all kinds of individuals as I understand folks come from different walks of life and may not appear to be the "traditional" family. When I'm not helping bring babies into the world, I'm at home spending time with my husband and kids. I love to write poetry, cook, and take care of my plants!

Virtual, weekly check-ins beginning at 28 week
In-Person, weekly visits beginning at 32 weeks
Prenatal education and birthing preferences outline
Support partner education
On call 24/7 beginning at 36 weeks
Live birthing support for the duration of labor and delivery
Lactation support(if wanted)
6-8 weekly postpartum visits

What to expect

Hi everyone! I offer multiple packages and services to you specific support needs. These services include doula support (both birth and postpartum), lactation and chest-feeding assistance, pregnancy/birthing education, and abortion aid/education. My goal is provide services to individuals in need. If you are wanting a service that's not listed, please reach out and inquire to see if it's within my scope of practice. While I am currently private pay, my space if open to everyone. If you are interested in receiving services but are unsure of ability to pay, message me privately. No, I am no a medical provider. I am a non-clinical support professional.

How can I benefit from a doula?

As a doula, I can provide emotional, informational, and physical aid. I will assist with self-advocacy and understanding medical terminology. I would help you navigate pregnancy, birth, and postpartum while supplying you with the tools and skills needed for you and your baby to thrive.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, I offer various flexible payments plans. All plans include a non-refundable deposit that goes towards the cost of services.

Are you an abortion doula too?

Yes, I am. There is a period of time post-abortion, where the body is going through major mental and physical changes. My services are designed to help individuals get through that time with care and ease.
