My name is De’ Asia Ford, and I am a passionate mother, postpartum doula, and healthcare professional with a deep commitment to supporting women and families through some of life’s most transformative moments. My personal experiences as a mother, combined with my professional background in caregiving and my passion for maternal and family wellness, have shaped my desire to create safe, compassionate, and empowering spaces for new and growing families. Sacred Steps Doula Care was created from my belief that every mother deserves to feel supported, heard, respected, and cared for throughout her postpartum journey. My philosophy is rooted in nurturing the whole person, physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, while honoring each family’s unique needs, values, traditions, and parenting choices. I believe postpartum support is not about telling a mother how to parent; it is about walking beside her, providing encouragement, practical support, education, reassurance, and a judgment free presence as she finds her confidence in motherhood. Through Sacred Steps Doula Care, my goal is to help families transition into parenthood with greater peace, confidence, and a sense of connection, reminding every mother that she does not have to take this sacred step alone.
