About me

Hello! My name is Debbie Black and I’m a Washington State Certified Birth Doula in Snohomish, Washington. I trained at Bastyr University’s Simkin Center for Allied Birth Professions, followed by an extensive apprenticeship with Expecting Joy. Additionally, I'm certified in the Body Ready Method, an exercise and movement program designed to optimize the body for pregnancy, birth, and recovery. I believe that birthing people who feel heard, respected and empowered have the most positive birth experiences. I will do all that I can to ensure you have the kind of birth experience you’re hoping for through education, physical and emotional support and advocacy.
