First baby, giving birth at UCSF Mission Bay in San Francisco. Looking for a birth doula to support my partner and I. Hoping to have an unmediated birth but very open to that changing depending on the circumstances. I live in the South West of SF. My husband needs to double check his work’s doula benefit so I’m not sure on our budget, happy to pay some out of pocket, but we’d like to pre-pay for our doula service, ideally in the next couple of weeks.

We are still determining the exact level of support we are looking for. We plan to give birth in a hospital in San Francisco. Our primary search is for post-birth overnight support, which would include support for the mom and care for the baby, including feeding, settling, changing, and any associated cleaning. It is important to us to get detailed updates on how the baby did overnight. We want to make sure that the person providing the support fits well into our home. We would expect we need this support 4-5 nights per week for 10-16 weeks, and would seek to get support on sleep conditioning over that period of time. We are also evaluating if a birth doula is something that we want but have not yet decided on that.

Registered Nurse only for awake night care. Baby has laryngomalacia. She is currently five months old. Only infant care, no other tasks. Must provide clinical notes of care and a superbill each week. $90 per hour. Must have active nursing license and current vaccinations.

I am located in Southern California in the Irvine area. My husband is in the military and is currently deployed. He most likely will not be able to be at the birth of our son. Because of that I will be giving birth in Napa California at Queen of the valley hospital. I have tricare and hope to get the doula services covered through my insurance. We plan to give birth at a hospital (Kaiser in Redwood City). I'm looking for options that will be 100% covered by our Kaiser health insurance. My birth plan is flexible. This my first baby. I would like to birth at home and in case of emergency help with a transfer to the local hospital and be present for the birth. I have a full birth plan that intend on discussing with my midwife but that's the basics of it. Preferably I'd love a midwife that's holistic and medically trained.
