I am located in Southern California in the Irvine area. My husband is in the military and is currently deployed. He most likely will not be able to be at the birth of our son. Because of that I will be giving birth in Napa California at Queen of the valley hospital. I have tricare and hope to get the doula services covered through my insurance. I am a first time mom so I do not currently have a birth plan per se so I am hoping the doula could help me. I am 24 years old and like I said this is my very first baby so anything helps.

I try to live a more holistic life style these days and after becoming aware of the pharmaceutical industry and how they operate in the US. We plan to give birth at a hospital (Kaiser in Redwood City). I'm looking for options that will be 100% covered by our Kaiser health insurance. My birth plan is flexible. Ideally I would prefer an unmedicated VBAC birth, but is flexible if induction or C-section is required. Would be helpful to have a doula that is also well-versed in sleep training. My first required 100% contact naps until they were sleep trained at 5 months old. I have Kaiser HMO

A home birth was my first option but baby had an arrhythmia which is the reason I chose hospital first at this point. I do have medical insurance to cover my hospital birth.
