Hey there! My name is Marissa, I’m a DONA Certified Birth Doula and Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator based in Morris County, NJ! Just just minutes away from Our Birthing Center, Morristown Medical Center, and Overlook Medical. I’m a mom of two amazing children, and after my experiences trying-to-conceive and giving birth to my first child, I felt an incredible pull to birth work. Helping people learn about all their options in birth and how to feel empowered in their decisions are some of my greatest passions! I work with parents throughout their journeys, from trying-to-conceive all the way to postpartum! I also work with many parents pregnant after loss - a different and nuanced experience in many ways (one I have experienced myself). I am so so thrilled to meet local parents building their families, and the babies you’ll be welcoming into your lives!

As I sit here 2 months postpartum. The reality of being a first time mom is starting to set in. As I think back, the whole experience from being pregnant to giving birth is so crazy! Luckily, I found Marissa and had her support, fact checking knowledge, and companionship through it all. She helped me so much through my pregnancy, the highs and lows. She made me feel confident in myself and I would highly recommend considering having her as a doula. Her knowledge of everything about pregnancy and support was exceptional. Having her as part of my support team was exactly what I needed to make my birth experience the best possible. I'm so grateful we connected not just on my pregnancy but also as a new friendship. Marissa is awesome and if you are looking for someone to be a part of your birthing experience that is knowledgeable and also genuine, she's it!

Greetings! My name is Savasiah Gardner, and I am a full-spectrum doula located in New York City. Being present at a friend's birth gave me my first eye-opening experience into birthwork; my master's in public health, coupled with my training with Birthing Advocacy Doula Training, have equipped me with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to support those on their own birthing journey. In my free time, I enjoy taking walks with my daughter and dog, as well as practicing yoga. I have plans to become a perinatal and postpartum yoga instructor in the future :-)

Ines Serna is a mother, childbirth educator, and doula with a Master of Health Sciences in Public Health. She became interested in pregnancy and the birth process after having her first child in 2010. Shortly after, Ines started working for the childbirth education department at a prestigious Bergen County hospital, where she gained a great deal of knowledge about maternity services. After the birth of her second child in 2014, she decided to become a childbirth educator. Through her two birth experiences, she realized that the power of knowledge can have a positive impact on birth outcomes. While working as a childbirth educator at the hospital, Ines saw the necessity of giving additional support to her clients. She has trained with DONA International to obtain all the required skills to assist mothers during the birth process. Ines is dedicated to expanding her knowledge by attending maternal and child health conferences, seminars, and networking with health professionals in the community. Ines’s extensive hospital experience has allowed her to see and understand the need to continue advocating for patient-centered care. She believes a patient’s personal preferences, such as values, cultural traditions, family support, and lifestyles, must be taken into consideration. Ines is passionate about supporting expectant parents by making sure they understand that they have options before, during, and after birth. She firmly believes that EVERY woman deserves a good support network. A network that consists of health professionals, along with family, friends, and, of course, the support of a doula, is the greatest gift parents can experience in their lifetime. Hi! I’m Rachel (she/they). Although I have been a witness and sometimes an active participant in births since a very young age, I’ve been working as a trained birth and postpartum doula since June 2018 and have supported 250+ families throughout the NYC area. I am a certified lactation support counselor, integrative lactation and baby feeding specialist, a trained lactation educator, doula mentor, placenta specialist and currently obtaining clinical hours at Jamaica Hospital to become an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). My philosophy is simple - there is no wrong way to birth as long as your choices and decisions through the journey are being heard and respected. In working together, I hope to co-create the vision for how you would like to feel during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum; helping you move through this time building confidence in your ability to decide what feels right for you. My style is rooted in mindfulness; working with the tools we already have to help us stay grounded and present in the moment. I have been a Brooklyn resident since 2004 and live one block away from Prospect Park with my child, Simone, and dogs, Elfie and Gyda. I have a BFA in Studio Art from Hunter, own a recurve bow, have a depth of knowledge in native new york plants and study herbalism. I am a LGBTQIA2S+ friendly doula - gender affirming care matters to me!

I was so happy to have Ally by my side for the delivery of my son! Our prenatal sessions with super informative and made me feel prepared and confident going in to the birth process. Most of all, I deeply appreciated Ally's peaceful, intuitive, and positive nature throughout my labor. That is exactly what I needed most leading up to and during birth. I have a lot of great memories around my birth, attributed largely to the support and environment that Ally helped create throughout the whole process. I highly recommend hiring Ally as a doula. Their care was so crucial for my family. Our OB and nurses also commented on how nice it was to have them there with us during birth!

She refers to her background in early childhood education and motherhood to provide evidence based guidance with a nurturing touch. Cloe also has her CLC and will be working towards an IBCLC to help new families achieve a positive lactation experience.

We worked with Cloe as both a birth and postpartum night doula during and after the birth of our first child. I had a very successful labor and attribute much of that to Cloe's knowledge, compassion, and advocacy. She worked extremely well with my OB and the hospital nursing staff, and I felt so supported. When we got home from the hospital, it was an immense comfort knowing that Cloe would be there to help us through our first night, and many of the nights that followed. Thanks to her guidance, I have also had a smooth breastfeeding experience. My husband and I would strongly recommend Cloe to any expecting person, and, while I am sure that Cloe would be fabulous in any situation, I would particularly refer her to those hoping to have the support of a doula while also seeking a hospital birth.
