About Emily

Hello! My name is Emily Rickards and I am a certifying Labor and Postpartum Doula. I am located in Elliot Lake but serve from the Blind River to Orillia areas! I've loved pregnancy and babies for as long as I can remember, always wanting to be part of birth stories or stories of newborns. I believe every birth should go in favour of the family, however they'd like to remember the experience. Medicated or natural, I'll do everything in my power to make your birth the most calm, peaceful, and memorable moment for you and your family.

Birth & Postpartum Doula services

I provide Labor, Birth, and Postpartum support for anyone interested! LGBTQ+, single parents, and surrogate friendly, this is a no judgement zone. I provide Labor and Birth support for natural, medicated, home, and birth centre births. I will help you create your most memorable birth experience while helping you advocate for your wishes. My postpartum services will see that you get on the best path suited to your needs towards your personal happy recovery. I will provide information for yourself, your support, and baby, do light housework, and watch baby for short periods of time.
