Hi, I’m England, founder of Womb + Root Wellness. 🌿 I’m a mother of three, full spectrum doula, lactation consultant, herbalist, and Reiki Master. My journey into birth work started long before I became a mother. I found myself naturally supporting and advocating for other mothers, while also navigating my own reproductive health journey. For years, I struggled with endometriosis without a diagnosis. As a Black woman, I experienced firsthand what it feels like to have your pain dismissed, your health overlooked, and your voice unheard within the healthcare system. I also watched the women closest to me including my mother and sister experience traumatic births and a lack of the care, information, and respect for autonomy they deserved. When I became pregnant and had my own children, I became my own doula. I learned how powerful it is to understand your body, know your rights, trust your intuition, and have someone in your corner. Those experiences became my purpose. I created Womb + Root Wellness to be part of the change—especially within Black and Brown birthing communities. My work is rooted in education, advocacy, holistic care, nourishment, and empowerment, helping mothers feel informed, respected, supported, and heard throughout pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond. I wish I could do it all over again. The girl is a POWERHOUSE! Between her advocacy, her supportive and nurturing demeanor and the education she supplied me I never felt more confident to give birth. The energy she brings when working with her makes everything feel like a breeze. I didn’t have to worry about a thing because she made sure that I was well prepared and had everything I needed! She meal prepped for me and my family, helped me extremely in postpartum with all my kids when I felt like things were getting off track and I made it to one year of breast feeding exclusively because of her and her patience with me. Working with England as my doula was one of the best decisions I made during my pregnancy. From the very beginning, she made me feel heard, supported, and respected. She didn’t make decisions for me she gave me information helped me understand my options, and reminded me that I had a voice in my own birth. During labor, she was such a calming presence she used reiki on me it was my first experience and it was amazing and unforgettable. When I was overwhelmed, she knew exactly how to support me she constantly reminded me that I could do it. She is an amazing doula! Very supportive and my favorite was the knowledge she gave me. I always felt confident in the care she provided because she educated me to the point where I understood what was going on within me, and what I can do to fix it. Travel: Services within 25 miles of Womb + Root Wellness are included. Travel fees apply outside the standard service area. Extended-distance and overnight services are available by custom quote. Client is responsible for applicable mileage, tolls, parking and lodging expenses.
