I attended my first birth more than 25 years ago and very soon after began actively pursuing birthwork, trading off between midwifery apprenticeships and serving independently as a doula. Given my background, I'm a strong believer in individual family autonomy, true informed consent, and holistic continuity of care that includes extensive postpartum attention. I'm also quite the baby whisperer, even while they're still in the belly. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, cooking, going on long walks, and taking even longer naps. I'm best known for my authenticity, tenacity, quick wit, and contagious laugh.

Hola! My name is Micaela López, and I’m a holistic birth and postpartum doula with over 8 years of experience walking alongside families on their sacred birthing journey. Before stepping into birth work, I spent 15 years as an educator in both public and private schools. In 2018, I followed the call of my soul into the path of birth and trained as a birth doula with Doula Love in Portland. Since then, I’ve deepened my practice through midwifery assistant training with the Center for Indigenous Midwifery in Washington and a transformative year-long apprenticeship with midwife Cosima. These experiences have gifted me both modern and ancestral tools to support women with presence, compassion, and care during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. It is my honor to walk beside you—holding space, offering guidance, and honoring the sacredness of every step on your birthing journey.

I have had the pleasure of supporting families for over 18 years. I support autonomy and advocate for clients. I have extensive experience with homebirths. I also care for high risk pregnancies, scheduled inductions & cesarean births. I practice trauma informed care and support families who have experience birth or personal trauma and help write not only birth plans but trauma informed care plans for clients needing this extra layer of care. I consider myself an active doula and with or without an epidural I encourage movement & positioning to facilitate babies decent. Each birth is special and I would love to help make yours an empowering and positive experience.

Hello! I am a birth and postpartum doula in Eugene, Oregon. I began my work as a doula in 2017, certifying with Doula Trainings International after years of working as a prenatal yoga teacher. I have my own kids and carried one baby as a surrogate. In addition to having a background in yoga, breathwork and functional movement, I am also a certified Natural Chef and love to create nourishing comfort meals using seasonal and local ingredients.

Hello, I’m Stormy McKinney, a birth doula serving families in Oregon. Supporting birthing people is more than a career for me—it’s a calling shaped by my own experiences, my heart for caregiving, and my deep belief that no one should ever feel alone during birth. My journey into birth work began after having two difficult birth experiences of my own. I didn’t have the support I needed, and I carried that feeling of being unheard and overwhelmed for a long time. Later, I spent years caring for my grandmother, and although I loved being there for her, after she passed I knew I wanted to help people in a different way. When I discovered what doulas do, something clicked. I realized I wanted to be the person I never had—someone who advocates, comforts, and helps birthing people relax into their own strength. I completed my Birth Doula and Postpartum care Training with Doula Love LLC in Portland, OR continued my education with additional training in trauma-informed care, oral health, cultural competency, CPR for adults/children/infants (for nurses), and basic lactation support. My approach is grounded in compassion, kindness, and a genuine desire to help families feel safe, informed, and supported. I’m a little shy at first, but I warm up quickly. I have ADHD, so every now and then I get a burst of energy—usually in a fun, optimistic way. I’m also disabled and live with POTS, but it doesn’t stop me from showing up fully for the families I support. I’m a young doula at 25, a mom of two, an animal lover, I love waterfalls, and a bit of a video-game nerd, Anima is a big part of my time. All of these pieces of me shape the warmth and understanding I bring into my work. I believe birth should feel supported, respected, and never lonely. Hello everyone, my name is Jennifer and I am a birth doula and Childbirth educator. I am also a bodywork specialist who does energy work. I am trained in Reiki and reflexology and while I was in massage school I took classes in pregnancy massage and labor massage. As a birth worker my passion is to help in the bonding of the family no matter what your family looks like if it is just mother and baby, partner, spouse, or even a family member I am there to help you find your voice and ease your journey as it plays out. Sometimes we want to think we can control what our birth will look like but the little bundle inside doesn't always listen and so I want to be there to help everyone involved reach the goal. My main passion is in continuous care. I left the nursing world after seeing the effects it had on laboring women and families having to build that rapport with the care team each appointment, shift changes and I did not like that. I want to be there with your family from start to finish, one less thing to worry about and one more thing to gain comfort in.
