I plan to give birth at Sutter Roseville. I’d like tricare west to pay for the services, but am willing to pay $2000 out of pocket if needed. My birth plan is flexible right now. I’m accepting of an epidural, but am not great with needles, so minimal necessary. Looking for advice on best positions and everything else. I have Tricare Prime with Tricare West.

We're first-time parents expecting identical twin girls this fall and looking for an experienced doula to support us through this unique and beautiful journey! About our pregnancy: We're expecting dichorionic diamniotic (DCDA) twins with a due date of October 3, 2026. We'll most likely be delivering at Sutter Medical Center in Downtown Sacramento in the OR, as is standard for twin birth. Our birth plan is still taking shape, but we just want to feel safe and supported every step of the way. What we're looking for: Postpartum support is our biggest priority. Twin newborns are a full-time adventure so we want someone experienced with twins and supporting parents of newborn twins! Birth support is also important to us, and we'd love someone who is comfortable in an OR setting and familiar with both vaginal twin deliveries and C-sections (planned or emergency). About us: We're an AAPI family who practices Buddhism, though we welcome doulas of all backgrounds and beliefs. We're also both in the medical field so we're no strangers to clinical settings. I am most likely planning a homebirth birth? My first VBAC. I would like to find a doula who has experience with VBAC, especially after multiple cesareans. Another bonus would be a doula experienced with supporting births after loss. My second baby was a full term stillbirth and that is obviously something carried in the subsequent pregnancies.
