I plan to give birth in a hospital, in Georgetown Tx. I have Tricare Prime, and I am hoping that the majority of the cost can be covered by insurance. Ideally, I will have an unmedicated birth.

Doula care is covered in my insurance (BlueCross BlueShield CareNow) and that is where most of the budget is coming from. My main concern with my birth plan is that the baby and I are both safe and healthy. I do have some anxiety around birth and something going wrong, so emotional support is a must for me. My husband and I are first-time parents so I know that he would also like support as he will be my main support system. We do not plan on having any other visitors in the hospital.

We will be giving birth at the William Clements hospital with UT Southwestern. We would prefer an unmedicated vaginal birth if possible, but are happy to giving birth at the hospital in case of emergencies.
