First-time mom planning a hospital birth at Pomona Valley Hospital and looking for a birth/postpartum doula with a practical, evidence-based approach. I would like support during pregnancy with education, preparing for labor, helping me understand my options, and creating a birth plan/preferences document. During labor, I’m looking for someone calm and supportive who can help me advocate for myself, ask questions, and help me process decisions without pressure unless medically necessary. Postpartum support is my biggest priority. I would like help with recovery, breastfeeding/pumping support, newborn guidance, emotional reassurance, and preparing to return to work as an elementary teacher. I am hoping to breastfeed/pump and would value someone knowledgeable about lactation and pumping for working moms. I am open to holistic approaches as long as they are grounded in research and evidence-based care. I am not looking for an anti-medical approach and am comfortable with hospital care and interventions when medically necessary. I would prefer someone experienced with first-time moms and familiar with Pomona Valley Hospital or the surrounding area (La Verne/Claremont/Upland/Pomona).

Looking for a cpr certified night nurse. Someone who can assist us at night to help with our newborn, help create a schedule, work with us to assist me in recovery as well.

The primary focus of this position is to assist me with my physical recovery and overall well-being. Duties may include helping me move safely, assisting me in and out of bed or chairs as needed, preparing light meals and snacks, ensuring I stay hydrated, helping me stay on top of my medications, providing emotional support, and performing light household tasks such as tidying, dishes, and light laundry so I can focus on healing. I am looking for someone who understands C-section recovery and can help make the postpartum period less physically demanding. No direct newborn care is required, as their grandmother will be assisting with that. This will be my first birth. I don't like the idea of giving birth in a hospital. I'd like a home water birth. I'm not sure about budget or at what it starts. Hi! I’m a 21-year-old married mom of a 2-year-old, currently pregnant with my second baby and going through a separation from my husband. I’m a Christian, and I’m really looking for a doula who can support me physically, emotionally, and spiritually throughout this pregnancy and birth. I’m hoping to have an unmedicated, natural birth and would love to learn breathing techniques, labor positions, and different coping strategies to help me prepare. I’m honestly scared, and one of my biggest goals is to have a positive birth experience and to avoid tearing entirely if possible. I want to learn everything I can to prepare my body and reduce my risk of tearing. I also want to learn more about nutrition during pregnancy, including organic foods and understanding healthy versus less-healthy carbohydrates. I plan to breastfeed again and would love support with preparing for that as well. I also have questions about healthy weight management during pregnancy and postpartum and would love guidance on how to safely care for my body while making sure my baby is properly nourished. My husband and I are separated, but I would like him to be able to learn how to support me during pregnancy and birth if he is willing. I would appreciate a doula who can help educate both of us on what genuine, respectful support can look like during labor and delivery. As a Black mother and woman, I’m also very aware of the disparities and racism Black women can face within the healthcare system. Having someone who can advocate for me, help me understand my options, and make sure my voice is heard and respected during such a vulnerable experience is extremely important to me. I really want to feel safe, informed, empowered, and supported throughout this journey.

I plan to give birth at the Kaiser Baldwin Park hospital (Los Angeles county). I am looking for care that is fully covered by my Kaiser insurance. My birth plan is still in work, but I would generally am ideally looking for a physiological/ low-intervention birth. I value an evidence-based approach and someone who is highly collaborative with hospital nursing staff, so experience at Kaiser Baldwin Park would be a big plus. During birth, I will respond better to a calm,and grounded presence but someone who will still be firm and supportive. For postpartum care, I am especially looking for newborn care support and lactation support.

I plan on birthing in San Antonio Regional Hospital in Upland CA. I would like to have as least medical interventions as possible however while still in a hospital setting in case it is medically necessary to intervene. I would like to have a doula for supporting my husband and I in preparation for this to be possible as well as postpartum support to help me get settled in as a new mother healing from birthing. I don’t have a set budget as I am unaware of the costs that go into this. But we are willing to work towards meeting our needs.
