My goal is to have a safe, supported delivery with access to medical care and pain-management options as needed. My birth plan focuses on a calm, low-stress, and informed birth experience. I would like support with comfort measures during labor, guidance with breathing and positioning, and assistance advocating for my preferences with the medical team when appropriate. I am open to medical pain-relief options, but would like to attempt natural coping techniques first. I also value emotional reassurance, clear communication, and postpartum support to help with recovery and the transition into parenthood.

I just found out my husband and I are expecting! For the past two years, I have become fascinated with the thought of having an unmedicated birth. I'd consider myself pretty educated in the birth world (also because I grew up with a mom who worked in Labor and Delivery as a nurse).
