Estimated budget between $1,500-$3,500 for birth support depending on experience and package inclusions. Describe your birth plan I'm aiming for a natural, vaginal birth and want to avoid a C-section unless it becomes medically necessary. I'm open to an epidural or other pain management options to make labor as smooth and manageable as possible, but my priority is a supported vaginal delivery with strong advocacy throughout. Requirements for the provider I'm comfortable working with a doula who speaks English, though Spanish fluency is a plus. Most importantly, I need someone who will actively advocate for me at the hospital and help me navigate decisions in real time to achieve the best possible outcome. I'd prefer a certified doula with meaningful hands-on labor support experience. Details about care recipients This will be my first baby, due in July. No special needs or complications currently anticipated. Additional duties Beyond labor support, I'd love guidance and education around lactation and breastfeeding. Just gave birth to boy girl twins on 6/27 at 38 weeks. Boy born 7.2lbs and girl 7lbs. I had them planned c-section. Both babies were latching great and exclusively breast feeding and we left the hospital on 7/29. Since then baby girl stopped latching and started taking breast milk from a bottle. She was down 10 % weight at her wellness checkup on 7/30. Baby boy has dropped a little weight at our second apt yesterday. I need help to unsure I am feeding correctly and pumping properly.

This is my first baby and I plan to give birth at a birth center. My insurance doesn't cover a doula so my budget would be $1500. I would like my provider to have experience with severe back pain. I can not lie on my back and transitional movements are extremely painful. I want to gain better understanding of birthing positions that will be right for me. I want to learn different pain management techniques and receive information on how my husband can help during the labor process. For lactation I would like to work with an IBCLC if possible. Postpartum I would like information on sleep training. I would like to meet in person with the doula at least twice before the birth and at least once after.
