I am having trouble with the bedside manner of doctors and am looking for someone who is compassionate. If it works out that I am not comfortable giving birth in a hospital, I'd like to do a water birth depending on what my insurance coverage is. I think my birth plan is fairly simple where I don't want the umbilical cord to be cut until it is done pulsing/ or white. And in a hospital setting I don't want the eye ointment for my child as it is not necessary. My insurance is Tricare Select.

My husband is active-duty military, and my insurance is TRICARE East. I’m looking for a supportive doula who accepts TRICARE or has experience working with military families and TRICARE coverage. I’d love support preparing for labor, comfort and coping techniques during labor, advocacy, and guidance for my husband on how he can support me. I’m still developing my birth plan and would like someone who is patient, informative, and supportive of my preferences. I’m also planning to breastfeed and would appreciate early breastfeeding support.
