First baby, planning a hospital birth, would like to go unmedicated with possibly bath and yoga ball use. No clue what I’m doing and definitely would like support for my husband as well at a cost effective budget.

Hey ladies. I am expecting my 2nd child approx January 5th. My first birth I did have to be induced but once things were right, it went well with epidural, just a couple pushes, no need for stitches, resulting in a healthy baby girl. This time with my son, I am wanting to try and hoping for an unmedicated birth to the best of my ability. I want to labor down as much as possible if time allows, learn all things that can help relax my mind, body, and pelvic floor as I’ve already been determined to have tight muscles after my 2nd child and currently. I do not know at this time if I will have any other support in the room, especially depending who has my toddler when I go to deliver. I am under the insurance of tricare. My OB & birth is with Lexington Medical in Lexington, SC. I am currently working on a birth plan. I also have interest in breastfeeding again and all the tools/information to help with that.

This is my fourth baby. I've had 2 previous c-sections, one in 2012 (twins) and one in 2018. I would like to have an unmedicated VBA2C. My doctor said I was a good candidate due to my health and baby's baby's health and my c-section scars a low and transverse. I will be giving birth at MUSC. I'm not sure about the budget. I have Tricare Prime insurance but willing to pay out of pocket for costs Tricare can't or won't cover.

I would like to have a water birth and extra support would be awesome for mor guidance and knowledge for my first birth. This is something that I believe is covered by my insurance. I’m not certain on the location of birth

The care is for the baby. Need someone 3 times a week at night. Budget per night is $100-200. Hours would be 11pm-5am. Start date is asap and until September 30.

I plan on giving birth at my home. I don’t really have a budget, I just want someone that knows their stuff, is trustworthy, and will allow for me and my baby to have a safe and healthy delivery. I am still looking at my options, but for right now the plan is to deliver at Roper Berkeley Hospital in Summerville, SC. I am having trouble with the bedside manner of doctors and am looking for someone who is compassionate. If it works out that I am not comfortable giving birth in a hospital, I'd like to do a water birth depending on what my insurance coverage is. I think my birth plan is fairly simple where I don't want the umbilical cord to be cut until it is done pulsing/ or white. And in a hospital setting I don't want the eye ointment for my child as it is not necessary. My insurance is Tricare Select.

Hospital birth help with stretches and pain management

I am almost 33 weeks and I found out I was pregnant at four and a half months after being told I couldn’t have kids in California. I was referred to abbey rewalt at cmc from the hospital er when I went in for bad cramping and let’s just say it’s been less than a nice experience. I have seen her twice for about 3 minutes. I’ve brought my sister husband and best friend with me to appointments and they have all said she is dismissive and her staff is very dismissive and they seem to not care about my well being at all and do not explain any test results just upload it into my portal etc. i went to er for swelling and none of the items ive been there have I seen a dr just a charge nurse. Dr abbey tried to say she saw me in the er no she didnt. My overall experience at cmc has been horrible. I would like a doula or a midwife and I also will be changing obgyn unless I can find a midwife where I can deliver somewhere that’s not cmc.

Hi! I am looking for a doula that can help support me and the baby but also my husband through this beautiful process. We plan to have a unmedicated birth in the hospital. My approach to birth is being fully present and enjoying the moment with my husband, but also being in control of our birth. I know I can’t fully control what happens but I would like an advocate for my husband and I while it’s happening. I know things can go from 0 to 100 really quickly, and sometimes in a hospital setting people sort of forget your birth plan and decide to do their own. By having a doula, we would be able to enjoy this moment without the worry of our plan being dismissed. At this time, we would love to use our insurance to finance our doula but would be open to discuss payment plans for their services.
