Id ideally like to give birth in the hospital just incase. Budget maybe $3000 Birth plan... currently non existent. I had a very traumatic birth of our first child. And was rushed, lied to and forced into procedures and stuff that I didnt know what they were and ended up having an emergency c section.... I dont want any of that to happen this time. I want a vbac hopefully. And as naturally as possible. But with the back up of being in a hospital already should anything go wrong.
This is my first child, and I've always wanted a doula. I'm not sure what to expect or what it truly entails. I'll be in a hospital in Florence, SC. I don't have a set estimated budget, but I don't want to spend a lot. I really want to have a natural unmedicated birth.

Hospital unsure about a budget it’s complicated
I am planning for a hospital birth with an OBGYN. I have never worked with a Doula and do not know the cost. My insurance may cover some or all of it. I have prior history of obstetric violence and nonconsensual procedures resulting in severe injuries and trauma. I am aiming for low intervention vaginal birth but have not consulted an OBGYN yet about the possibility based on the state of my injury recovery. I need someone to help me advocate for myself and make sure that I understand what is happening so I can make decisions based on information rather than fear and pressure. I will also need help with maintaining my boundaries around consent about procedures or interventions.
