Hi, I am currently 20 weeks pregnant and looking to hire a birth doula to support me through my labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum window. I am a TRICARE Select East beneficiary, so I am specifically looking for a provider who is either currently in-network with Humana Military or willing to sign a TRICARE Participation Agreement for in-person care, as that is what my insurance requires for full coverage. Location: I plan to give birth at MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Northeast (a civilian facility). Birth goals: I am planning a low-intervention, unmedicated birth. My ideal plan includes: -No epidural. -No Pitocin. -Utilizing hydrotherapy for pain management during labor (pending OB's final approval). -Delayed cord clamping until the umbilical cord pulses completely cease and it turns white. Support Needs: In addition to labor support, I am looking for prenatal advice and guidance on the essential gear and preparation needed before the baby arrives. Postpartum, I am looking for a holistic support for both myself and my baby, specifically including in-person lactation support to help us get off to a great start with breastfeeding. First baby, step mom has no idea, baby and new mom will be with us 6 weeks after the birth. We need it all. Live in, if possible, or dependable hours, we have housekeeper on site. First two weeks, nights and days then we will adjust
