Plan to give birth in a hospital, not sure on budget, would love to talk through pros and cons for an epidural, am open to getting one but also interested in not - hoping for few interventions during birth and just an overall really positive birth experience. Would really like to explore options for pushing, but ultimately going in very open minded. DONA or ICEA preferred but again open to any as long as they are certified - not specific on years of experience. Would love for the doula to also be a lactation consultant if possible hoping to try to breastfeed if possible and also hoping to pump

Hi! I’m currently looking for a postpartum doula who is working toward completing their certification hours/credits and may be looking for a family to complete those hours with. I’m having twins and will also have my toddler at home. My husband will be away for work, so I’m hoping to find someone who could help support me, especially during the night shift with the twins once they arrive (feedings, diaper change, tidy up kitchen). If you’re a student doula who needs hours, are completing your certification, or know someone who is, I’d love to connect! I’m specifically looking for someone who may be willing to provide services free, pro bono, or at a very low cost in exchange for completing their required hours. My needs are to stay as calm as possible and to relieve as much pain as possible. I don’t mind a home or hospital birth. I’m very open to those 2. I’m wanting someone that takes Medicaid. I’m wanting someone that is black and speaks English.

Hi! This is our first baby and we are leaning toward a hospital birth since there are no birth centers in the area. We don't have a specific birth plan yet but want to be as natural and unmedicated as possible. Especially in a hospital setting - we don't want any of the "standard" monitoring and medicine forced on us.
