On-call labor support On-call availability around the estimated due date (36weeks) Phone/text support when labor begins Help determine when it may be appropriate to contact the provider or go to the hospital Continuous emotional and physical support during labor 3. Labor & birth support Comfort measures such as massage, counter-pressure, positioning and movement Breathing and relaxation support Help create a calm environment Encourage hydration, rest and position changes when appropriate Support communication between the client, partner and medical team Help the client ask questions and understand options Support the client's birth preferences without making medical decisions for them Partner reassurance and hands-on coaching 4. Six days postpartum continues visit (5 hours / day ) Breastfeeding & Bottle Feeding Support: Assistance with latch, positioning, milk supply, and feeding cues. Newborn Care Guidance: Diapering, soothing techniques, sleep routines, and recognizing newborn cues. Maternal Recovery Support: Assistance with rest, comfort measures, gentle postpartum exercises, and self-care strategies. Emotional Support: Encouragement, reassurance, and guidance to help parents adjust to the new role. Education & Resources: Tips and resources tailored to your family’s needs.
