Working with Sally helped me to have the birth I wanted! I knew I wanted to try for an unmedicated birth, but was open to an epidural if needed, and Sally was supportive of both plans. She had great advice throughout my pregnancy and was a true hero on delivery day! She accompanied my husband and I to the hospital and was amazing at communicating with our nurses and doctors which took a lot of pressure off of me and my husband so that we could just be present in the moment. She used a variety of strategies to keep me as comfortable as possible during labor --the counterpressure and massage was a game changer during contractions! After baby was born she followed up with us several times to make sure breastfeeding and everything was going well. We would definitely recommend getting a doula, specifically Sally, to anyone who is on the fence about hiring someone to support their birth!

We worked with Kira to deliver our second baby and it was a fantastic experience from the start! She was easy to schedule a call with and after chatting for 10-15 minutes, I knew she'd be a great fit. Scheduling and communication made it easy to plan and she quickly became someone we could trust! We most appreciated her ability to listen well, take what we say/want, and help us go in that direction. We always felt supported in our decisions and the birth experience we desired! Kira clearly loves what she does and you will be in good hands if you are able to work with her.

Hi, I’m England, founder of Womb + Root Wellness. 🌿 I’m a mother of three, full spectrum doula, lactation consultant, herbalist, and Reiki Master. My journey into birth work started long before I became a mother. I found myself naturally supporting and advocating for other mothers, while also navigating my own reproductive health journey. For years, I struggled with endometriosis without a diagnosis. As a Black woman, I experienced firsthand what it feels like to have your pain dismissed, your health overlooked, and your voice unheard within the healthcare system. I also watched the women closest to me including my mother and sister experience traumatic births and a lack of the care, information, and respect for autonomy they deserved. When I became pregnant and had my own children, I became my own doula. I learned how powerful it is to understand your body, know your rights, trust your intuition, and have someone in your corner. Those experiences became my purpose. I created Womb + Root Wellness to be part of the change—especially within Black and Brown birthing communities. My work is rooted in education, advocacy, holistic care, nourishment, and empowerment, helping mothers feel informed, respected, supported, and heard throughout pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond. Your body. Your birth. Your voice. Your autonomy. 🤎🌿

I wish I could do it all over again. The girl is a POWERHOUSE! Between her advocacy, her supportive and nurturing demeanor and the education she supplied me I never felt more confident to give birth. The energy she brings when working with her makes everything feel like a breeze. I didn’t have to worry about a thing because she made sure that I was well prepared and had everything I needed! She meal prepped for me and my family, helped me extremely in postpartum with all my kids when I felt like things were getting off track and I made it to one year of breast feeding exclusively because of her and her patience with me. She’s a gem truly

Hiring Madison as our home birth doula was the best decision we made. From the very beginning, she brought such a calming, grounded presence that made me feel safe, seen, and truly held. During my labor, Madison was integral—she anticipated my needs before I could voice them, offered comfort through touch, movement, and breath, and reminded me of my own strength in the moments I doubted it. She supported my partner just as beautifully, giving him guidance so he could feel confident and present with me throughout the birth. Madison’s deep trust in the birthing process was contagious and helped me stay connected to my body and baby. I truly cannot imagine my birth without her. She was not just a doula—she was an anchor, a guide, and a witness to one of the most powerful experiences of my life. I will be forever grateful.

Nice to meet you! I’m Alyssa. I’m a boy mama x 2. After having two very different birth experiences, I’m passionate about supporting and educating parents leading up to birth and beyond. With a long induction + c-section birth and also a non-medicated VBAC under my belt, I feel well equipped to support all moms. I love to integrate a holistic approach to birth work, but I also appreciate modern medicine when truly needed. Every mom has their wants and needs when envisioning the birth that they desire, and I love helping them get from where they are to where they want to be. I value breastfeeding and postpartum wellness as well and love to help moms troubleshoot or problem solve when needed. The saying “it takes a village” holds a special place with me as I often feel pulled to be that village for fellow mamas. I strive to make other moms feel appreciated, supported, informed, and confident in their God-given abilities! I live in the Indianapolis area with my husband + our two boys. I love mom hangs, adventuring with my fam, being my kids biggest cheerleader + checking out new local food and coffee spots with my husband.

Alyssa was my doula for the birth of my 3rd child. I know that because of her, I had a beautiful, natural, physiological birth. I did not have a doula for the births of my first 2 children but after having her be such a vital part of my birth team, I wish I had invested in a doula for them. The birth of my 1st child was long and difficult, and I can confidently say that if Alyssa had been there, it would have been completely different. She is kind, incredibly generous, loves the Lord, and has a calming presence that makes her a perfect doula for someone like me. I have a lot of anxiety and do better when I have someone who is both gentle and firm. Alyssa became a part of my pregnancy journey around 18 weeks along. I was able to talk about my previous births, my indecision about where to give birth, and the difficulties I had experienced with secondary infertility. I had an initial consultation and 2 prenatal appointments with her in person where she was so attentive and wonderful about helping my husband and me to think through what I wanted my birthing time to look like. She was also available by phone and text, and I appreciated so much how often she checked in with me (and reminded me that I couldn't over communicate with her). A very big reason I decided to pursue a birthing center birth where I knew I wouldn't be able to have an epidural (I'm definitely not great with pain and had epidurals with my first 2) was because of her encouragement and also her suggestion to pursue using Hypnobabies. I was skeptical that Hypnobabies would work for me, but I'm so thankful I worked through and completed the course. Not only was the hypnosis vital to my 3rd's amazing birth, but the Hypnobabies materials reinforced what I already knew, as well as taught me new things that gave me confidence I was definitely lacking in previous births. Alyssa is such a wealth of information. I felt very safe going to her with my questions, concerns, and even my frustrations. She was fabulous at reminding me of God's sovereignty, His perfect timing, and that she was praying for me. During my actual birthing time, Alyssa was a strong, calming presence that involved herself when she needed to and also let me work through the different stages of labor. I was so thankful for her constant reminder to relax my face (the idea being that a relaxed face is a relaxed uterus), and how she kept me on target from one stage to the next. She helped me try different positions (one even included a nap) and got me setup to be able to enter the birthing tub just when I needed it most. I had a water birth, something I had always wanted to have! She kept me on course with my Hypnobabies tracks to keep my focus where it needed to be. I'm so thankful for everything Alyssa did for me during pregnancy, my birthing time, and also after birth and in the weeks following birth. She is a fantastic doula and an amazing person. I highly recommend her and am so happy to do so.

My work centers on preparing the heart and the body for birth in a way that is free from fear, free from industrial medical narratives, and grounded in certainty in Allah’s wisdom and decree. I guide women to understand the physiology of undisturbed birth, to strengthen their iman and yaqeen, and to approach motherhood as an act of worship rather than a medical event. I support sisters who desire a homebirth or freebirth (unassisted birth at home), who are navigating pregnancy outside of the system, healing from past birth experiences, or preparing their hearts for birth with clarity and spiritual steadiness. I also serve women who are seeking to reclaim their authority, their trust in Allah’s design, and their confidence as mothers rooted in tawheed rather than fear.

Fatima is an extraordinary Traditional Doula. She is so wise, warm, and deeply knowledgeable. She guided me through two pregnancies with such care, support, and gentle encouragement, always reminding me of Allah and helping me stay grounded, confident, and connected to the sacredness of each moment. Her kindness, warmth, and radiant personality make every interaction uplifting and comforting! Fatima’s guidance is both practical and deeply spiritual (perfectly balanced), and she truly walks beside you with presence and heart. I cannot recommend her highly enough, any mother would be incredibly blessed to have Fatima by her side throughout pregnancy, birth, and beyond!!
