To resolve this, I am seeking an in-person evaluation from an in-network International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) covered by my Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance to identify the underlying cause and provide hands-on relief.

I plan to give birth at Hoag Hospital Newport Beach. I have United Healthcare insurance and would like to have the lowest budget possible. I want an epidural due to not good with pain. I want a vaginal birth only. I would like my doula to be experienced at least 5 years. I would like my doula to help me with sleep training, lactation, nutrition, etc.

I would love to be able to go through my insurance if possible. And I am having my baby at the Simi Valley Birthing Center. I haven't written out a birth plan yet as I am still more than 4 months away. I just turned 31 years old. and My husband and i speak English. This is our First Baby.

Just gave birth to boy girl twins on 6/27 at 38 weeks. Boy born 7.2lbs and girl 7lbs. I had them planned c-section. Both babies were latching great and exclusively breast feeding and we left the hospital on 7/29. Since then baby girl stopped latching and started taking breast milk from a bottle. She was down 10 % weight at her wellness checkup on 7/30. Baby boy has dropped a little weight at our second apt yesterday. I need help to unsure I am feeding correctly and pumping properly.

First-time mom planning a hospital birth at Pomona Valley Hospital and looking for a birth/postpartum doula with a practical, evidence-based approach. I would like support during pregnancy with education, preparing for labor, helping me understand my options, and creating a birth plan/preferences document. During labor, I’m looking for someone calm and supportive who can help me advocate for myself, ask questions, and help me process decisions without pressure unless medically necessary. Postpartum support is my biggest priority. I would like help with recovery, breastfeeding/pumping support, newborn guidance, emotional reassurance, and preparing to return to work as an elementary teacher. I am hoping to breastfeed/pump and would value someone knowledgeable about lactation and pumping for working moms. I am open to holistic approaches as long as they are grounded in research and evidence-based care. I am not looking for an anti-medical approach and am comfortable with hospital care and interventions when medically necessary. I would prefer someone experienced with first-time moms and familiar with Pomona Valley Hospital or the surrounding area (La Verne/Claremont/Upland/Pomona).

I need to see a lactation consultant. Every time I try to feed my baby it hurts. She is clamping down and it’s for the full feed. I can’t get her to open her mouth all the way for me to get get all the way in. I am at a point that my nipples hurt so bad that I don’t want to breast-feed anymore. Hello, I'm struggling to have my baby latch properly. Ive never been able to get her to open wide enough to latch properly without pain. I’ve been using nipple shields to alleviate the pain but I feel like she doesn’t swallow as much or actively feed when using the nipple shield. She just uses it as a pacifier and the moment I take her off the breast shes still hungry. But on the breast she just falls asleep. I’ve also been pumping but don't have enough supply to keep up with her demand. I’ve had to supplement with formula because she was losing too much weight, but my goal is to exclusively breast feed /pump.
