This is a last minute request since I just learned that my insurance will reimburse doula services which makes this possible for me. I am at high risk for preterm delivery, so the baby could come any week now. I’ll be 37 weeks on 6/19/25 and my MFM believes I may deliver around that date. Hi! I’m a first time mom expecting a healthy baby girl. Planning a hospital birth in Orange County and looking for a Christian Doula to help me through a natural birth. I have a lot of concerns about birth, as I know I don’t historically tolerate pain very well, but feel strongly that with the right support and education, I can do this! I have a supportive husband who plans to be with me throughout, but he also worries about me getting through this and I understand a Doula can provide respite and support for partners as well. I am trying not to have a firmly set birth plan as I understand needs can change during labor and wish to keep an open mind for the sake of the baby’s benefit. While an unmedicated, natural birth is my first choice, I am open to variables in my care plan as is in mine and Baby’s best interest as we go through the process. I’m a strong believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, and trust that he will deliver me and my baby through this, so the person I invite into the room to support me, I would like to share this faith in the ultimate power in the room. As for budget, I’m hoping much of the service costs will be covered through my CIGNA insurance plan. Thank you!

Hi, We are PJ and Claire. We currently live in Orange and are looking for support in our first pregnancy. We are looking for a midwife and a doula. Our budget is around 6000 for both. Right now we plan on giving birth with Dr Cap down south in encinitas but are exploring home birth options if we feel that we have the right support. We are a very holistic and homeopathic couple and want to not only have a positive birthing experience but also want to avoid things that we disagree with in the hospital (like rushed cord clamping). We are planning on moving more south in the next month to be closer to the hospital but if we decide to home birth that may change. thank you for your support!

Hello! Im set to deliver very soon, September 18th. My insurance covers Doula services under our plan, Kaiser Permanente - Platinum 90 HMO. I am looking for birthing support and help with building a birth plan. I’m a woman of color and feeling very scared about laboring and birth. I have a very large fibroid that my OB at Kaiser-Anaheim has been monitoring closely throughout my pregnancy. It is very out of the way of the birth path & kind of “tucked away.” My Doctor isn’t worried about it interfering with the birth but I could have heavy bleeding after birth. I’m looking for doula support to make the birth as smooth & beautiful as possible. I very much want to avoid a cesarean birth. I would also like for my husband & mom to be involved & supported as well.
