There truly aren’t enough words to express how grateful we are for Jess. Choosing her to support us through birth was hands down the best decision we made & after this experience we can’t imagine going through another birth without her. I had an 18 hour labor & Jess was by my side through every single moment. Even after I got my epidural she was constantly helping me change positions to keep labor progressing & making sure I was as comfortable as possible. She knew exactly what I needed before I even had to ask & brought such a calming, reassuring presence to the room. She wasn’t just there for me. She was incredible for my husband too. She helped guide him on how to support me, encouraged him throughout labor, & made him feel confident instead of overwhelmed. By the end of our birth, my husband had become the biggest advocate for doulas. He now tells everyone that every birth needs a doula. Throughout labor we looked at each other multiple times & said “We don’t know how we ever did this without Jess.” Looking back at our previous births we truly can’t imagine going through labor without her support. Jess is compassionate, knowledgeable, encouraging, & genuinely passionate about what she does. She helped make our birth experience so positive & empowering, & we will forever be thankful for everything she did for our family. If you’re considering hiring a doula, stop thinking about it & hire Jess. You will never regret it.

I wasn’t sure if there was any point in having a doula for my scheduled c-section but I could not be happier to have had Jess by my side throughout it, plus all of her support during pregnancy and postpartum. Jess took the time to really listen to my previous birth story and figure out how she could best support me through this one for a better experience. I ended up needing the c-section earlier than my scheduled date and was terrified having had a previous traumatic c-section and being surrounded by a healthcare team I wasn’t familiar or comfortable with. Having Jess who really understood what I previously went through and what I wanted this time around was incredibly meaningful and invaluable. Jess made me feel so supported and cared for the entire time and really helped to ground me before heading into the OR. Having her stay by my side throughout the c-section made me incredibly comfortable and allowed my husband to go see our baby once he was born while still having Jess to hold my hand and talk me through it. Jess is extremely educated on birth and breastfeeding. She was so helpful in my first couple weeks home to help me establish breastfeeding and push through the initial difficulties.
