Im trying to help my wife find a doula to help us through our first pregnancy. As of now we are unsure if she is wanting to go unmedicated for the delivery so we would need someone able to walk us through those decisions. She prefers that I (the husband) be the one to read all the books and stuff so I would need someone that is willing to work with me on these things so I can support her as best I can. We are thinking of an in hospital birth, due around May 4th. My insurance does cover a doula/ midwife so it might help if you can take insurance but I would be willing to pay out of pocket for the right person. We would also prefer an in person doula/midwife to help us in the delivery room.

This is my first baby. I will be giving birth in Highland Park, IL. I am using Triwest to cover my costs. I would like a doula who can be there for me during my birth, planning for birth, and postpartum.

Looking for a Night nanny for a newborn baby boy. Likely 3-4 days a week, shorter term about a month or less. Someone that can do newborn duties like feeding, sleeping, safety etc. Really looking for someone that can teach 2 new parents how to handle / feed lactation for newborn. My first baby struggled with weight gain so I gave up breastfeeding at 4 months out of frustration even though my supply was strong. Want to avoid/get ahead of this problem with my second pregnancy.

My husband and I are looking for someone to support us immediately following the birth of our first daughter. We are both unsure of infant care and could use someone to help us navigate the beginning stages of taking care of a newborn, while making sure we are also taking care of ourselves. We ideally would need over night and day time support, more so in the beginning, that may taper off over time. We also have 2 cats, and would be looking for someone who is comfortable around animals.

I’ve been breastfeeding exclusively. Baby’s gaining weight consistently but I still feel like he’s not getting enough milk. He constantly wants to eat, I can’t tell the difference between him using me as a pacifier vs eating. Also interested in switch to pumping once or twice a day. Immediately after breastfeeding my breasts feel lighter but within a couple minutes they hurt.. like a sore pain throughout not just nipples

HELLO FRIENDS! At the time I am writing this I am 7 weeks pregnant. But I am not a first time mom. My oldest is 12 and my youngest is 7. I had a pretty difficult pregnancy and birth with my first daughter. She was born at 30 weeks and she stayed in the hospital for 57 days. My second daughter was born at 39 weeks. My doctor sweep my membrane, broke my water, Pitocin was also given. I had 3rd-degree tearing and with both girls I had no epidural. I want help creating a birth plan, I want a doula in the room with me when I am in labor plus birth and, I am open to added bonuses. I half scoliosis and I had spinal surgery so I cannot have an epidural. I value an holistic approach but my main focus is a safe delivery. As a woman of color my biggest fear is not being around for my older children. Their father passed from cancer in January so safety is very important to me. I am open and reading all the messages I receive. I also live in Milwaukee and would like my FSA to cover the fee through my employer. I look forward to finding a doula that works for myself and the doula!

3 week old with what I believe is a lip tie and a shallow latch. The lip tie doesn’t seem to stop him from gaining weight. I would love an in person appointment but open to virtual as well.

Three week old baby breastfeeding with nipple shield. Unable to latch otherwise. Feeds are painful and experiencing a lot of pain in between feeds all over. Looking for in person help asap to assess latch. We have cigna ppo insurance and open to all provider rates at the moment.

I have a five week old baby. Breast-feeding went fine the first couple weeks but now I feel like maybe he has a shallow latch and he keeps pulling back and coughing and gagging. This mostly happens on my right breast. I’m not sure if it’s my strong letdown.

We plan to deliver at UW Health / Meriter Hospital in Madison and are currently working with the high-risk maternal-fetal medicine team. My wife has a history of DVT during a previous pregnancy and is hoping to attempt a VBAC if medically appropriate. We are looking for a doula who is comfortable supporting a family that generally prefers a low-intervention approach to labor and delivery whenever it is safe to do so. We value evidence-based care and want a doula who can help us understand options, advocate for informed consent, and support our birth preferences, while also recognizing when medical intervention is necessary and appropriate. One of our highest priorities is postpartum support. My wife has bipolar disorder, and protecting her sleep in the days and weeks after delivery is extremely important for her mental health and overall recovery. We are looking for someone who understands the connection between sleep and maternal mental health and can help us develop a realistic postpartum plan that balances recovery, newborn care, and family needs. She is also hoping to breastfeed, so we would appreciate someone with experience helping families navigate breastfeeding goals while preserving maternal sleep and well-being.
