About me

I support families in the weeks and months after baby arrives. In person, virtually, all across Hampton and the surrounding NH towns, southern Maine, and the North Shore of MA. Most nights I'm in your home while you sleep. I handle the feeds, the diaper changes, the 3am stuff, so you can actually rest instead of running on empty. Daytime shifts look different depending on what you need that day. Some families want a hand with the baby. Some want help around the house. Some just want someone there who knows what they're doing. I used to get tangled up in the idea that paid support wasn't as real as a village showing up for free, but I don't anymore. When I was in it myself, some of the people who showed up were paid and some weren't. In the moment, I didn't care which was which. I was just glad someone was there. What matters is whether the person in your house is actually present with you, not just going through the motions. That's what I try to be.

Service introduction

I offer postpartum support for families in the weeks and months after baby arrives, in person and virtually, across Hampton and the surrounding NH and southern Maine towns as well as the North Shore of MA. Most of my work happens overnight. I come to your home while you sleep, handle feeds and diaper changes and the middle of the night stuff, and let you actually rest instead of running on fumes. Daytime shifts are available too, and those look different for every family. Sometimes it's a hand with the baby so you can shower. Sometimes it's help around the house. Sometimes it's just having someone there who knows what they're doing so you can breathe for a minute. I'm the first point of contact for every family who reaches out. As Cradled has grown, I've brought on a small team of independently contracted doulas so I can reach more families across a wider area, but I personally vet every one of them and hold them to the same standard of care I hold myself to. You'll always know who's coming through your door. For families who want support without an in-person visit, I also offer a six week virtual package. It includes four video calls you use on your own schedule, starting with a check-in right after you're discharged from the hospital and closing with a wrap-up call near the end, with two flexible sessions in between for whatever comes up. It's a good fit if you want expert support in your corner without adding another person to the house. I trained as a paramedic and I have a master's in counseling, so I've spent years sitting with people through crisis and through the harder conversations most people avoid. I'm a DONA certified postpartum doula, a CPST, and lactation trained, with my IBCLC in progress. But the credentials just mean I know what I'm doing when it's 2am and you need someone steady next to you. I became a mom myself, twice, and I know firsthand how little support most of us actually get in those early weeks. That's what drives the work now. Whether you hire me directly or one of the doulas on my team, you're getting someone trained to handle the practical stuff and present enough to handle the emotional stuff too. However your postpartum looks, there's a right way to get through it, and it's whatever actually works for your family. That's how I think about every family I work with, and it's how I want you to feel supported too. Let me know what you're navigating and I'll help you figure out what kind of support makes sense.

Kourtney is gift to the postpartum world. We will forever be grateful for her help in our first nights as new parents and her continued support to this day. Her calm demeanor immediately put us at ease and we felt so comfortable knowing that our baby was under her care during her overnight stays. She is incredibly organized and knowledgeable. We loved that she created a live notes doc to update us on our son and also provided us links and information on questions we had asked. Kourtney wants the best for families and we truly felt this support. Even just recently she met with me to go over a carseat concern I had and was able to fix the problem in minutes. We love Kourtney and could not recommend working with her more!

There truly aren’t words to capture how much Kourtney meant to our family during our twins early days. She went above and beyond from the very beginning, from checking in while our twins were still in the NICU, to seamlessly stepping in to support us at home once they were discharged. She was always available for questions, meeting everything we asked with zero judgment and so much empathy. Kourtney supported us in ways both big and small, helping to ensure I was adequately nourished and hydrated, and stepping in on the household front so we could simply sit and soak in those precious newborn cuddles. During some of our most stressful moments, she brought a calm, steady presence and offered gentle, reassuring guidance (including knowing when it was time to call the pediatrician). She was the first person we trusted with our babies outside of family, which says everything. We are endlessly grateful for her care, compassion, and wisdom. Saying goodbye will be one of the hardest parts of this chapter. I would recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone lucky enough to work with her.

Kourtney was an incredible resource for our family's post-partum experience! She cared for our family like we were her own. She was reliable, communicative, knowledgeable, organized and caring. She did everything we needed including help with laundry and tidying to of course taking care of our newborn so we could get much needed sleep. She gave great feedback and advice and would direct me to a licensed medical professional when something was outside her knowledge or she wasn't completely sure. She did small things like remind me to take medicine and recommend/discuss things to consider when selecting double strollers! We would utilize her again in a heartbeat.

We used Kourtney as our overnight doula after my first baby was born in 2024. We worked with her for 3 or 4 month. She was able to see things we didn't see. As new parents, we weren't getting much sleep so having her come in a couple nights a week really helped. She saw that we needed different nipples/ bottles since our daugther was working too hard, She was falling asleep in the middle of a bottle. Then she helped us move our daugther to night hours being night. She gave us resources that we won't have gotten with out her. I would hire Kourtney in a heartbeat again. She was amazing and we definitely don't regret hiring her.

When I think of a doula, I think “above and beyond” and that is exactly what Kourtney is. She is incredibly helpful, proactive, confident, and knows how to read the room and be exactly what you need her to be in that moment. There are two sacred places I would welcome her again and again, one is my home, and the other is my postpartum “nest.” I trust her immensely and don’t know what I would have done without her help.
