About me

Hi! I'm Krislyn. Certified Childbirth Educator, certified Lactation Educator, Postpartum Doula, mom of 4, lifelong birth enthusiast, and nature lover. I live in Clark County Washington and promote my childbirth and doula services through Womb & Beyond. I started birth work in 2012 as a birth and postpartum doula. I became certified in Childbirth education in 2025. I offer one-on-one private childbirth classes, as well as a few in-person group classes. My teaching style focuses on the essentials of childbirth mechanics and how to better understand the birth process of natural non-medicated labor and birth. I want to empower birthing people to better understand the relationship between mental and physical aspects of childbirth.

Service introduction

I offer one-on-one private childbirth classes in the comfort of your own home, or virtual. My classes range from a "refresher" class that is 2.5 hours long geared towards parents who have already experienced childbirth; as well as a more intensive class split into 2 sessions for a total of 5 hours. In addition to childbirth, I also teach newborn care essentials, lactation education, birth processing, and a postpartum recovery class. I also offer part-time daytime postpartum doula services.

This class covers the stages of labor, the mental and physical connection during labor, tips for support people, comfort techniques, immediate postpartum care, immediate newborn care, and common procedures during labor, birth, and the immediate postpartum.

This class is ideal for parents who have been through the birth process before and just want a refresher. We'll discuss the stages of labor, comfort techniques, tips for support people, and what to expect during the immediate postpartum period.

This course is 2 hours and covers the basics of lactation education. We'll talk about latch, supply, baby feeding cues, baby fullness, pain/discomfort troubleshooting, and nursing schedules.
