After spending time with parents who had relatively no postpartum care or support, I soon started my training to bridge that gap. I am a passionate birth doula who is dedicated to helping mothers feel heard and in control of their pregnancy and birth by finding trust, strength, and empowerment through listening to the intuition we all have as mothers. I am a DONA-certified birth doula practicing in the Ann Arbor, MI area. I believe that doula support is a right, not a privilege, so my fees are nominal and my services are above and beyond. In addition to the usual DONA certification training, I am also trained through Survivor Moms and I also volunteer with the Michigan Prison Doula Initiative, in addition to my private practice. I have no time cut-off, so if your labor is moving slowly, I will stay with you all the way. I am also CPR/AED/First Aid certified, as well as HIPAA and OSHA compliant. In my free time, I cherish moments with my husband and our two children, creating lifelong memories together. From the moment you find out you're pregnant to the moment you deliver are very vulnerable times every woman deserves a great birth that should be a beautiful memory. As a doula all I want is to be there for you and treat you with the care you deserve. I became a doula because every woman deserves to be heard and treated with the upmost respect during laboring.
