About me

Hi families, my name is Lauren and I am the founder and owner of Birthing With LC, where I am dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based support to growing families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. My passion for maternal health began after the birth of my first daughter in 2013, when my own transformative experience as a new mother inspired me to learn more about pregnancy, childbirth, and lactation. After welcoming three beautiful children while navigating the challenges of hyperemesis gravidarum, I developed a deep understanding of how important it is for families to receive unbiased, nurturing care. These experiences shaped my mission to ensure every family feels safe, informed, respected, and fully supported throughout their birthing journey. As a Certified Birth Doula, Certified Lactation Support Counselor, and Certified Body, Ready, Method® Professional, I empower families with the knowledge, confidence, and emotional support they need to approach birth with trust in themselves and their abilities. I believe every woman deserves to feel strong, capable, and heard, and I am committed to helping remove the fear that too often surrounds childbirth. When I’m not supporting families, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our three children, training in the gym with my husband, continuing my education, and collaborating with fellow birth professionals to make a positive impact—one birth at a time.
