I am 26, it’s my first time. I have ulcerative colitis and severe anxiety/depression. Budget is negotiable as it is my first time, I’m not too sure what pricing should be, but of course the more affordable the better. But we are of course willing to pay for anything we want/need. We do not have much of a birthing plan yet, as me and my bf have not discussed it together yet. But I do like a few different ideas I have heard of. Less surgical intervention the better, that being said if I have to work harder to accomplish that, is fine. Probably will be needing a hospital or doctor to assist in the birth or aftercare because of my UC and anxiety.

My pregnancy with my first child seven years ago was rushed and forced into a C-section. I’ve always known and felt something was wrong about the way that I had my first child but I am 16 weeks pregnant now more educated and I am looking to have a vbac , I was going the regular route by going to a ob but she has rubbed me the wrong way a few times and I want someone that is going to help me have my baby the natural way I can the first time around. I was robbed out of seeing my husband, cut the umbilical cord skin to skin and even breast-feeding. I know that I can do it and I do not want a doctor to force me to have a C-section if I do not need it just because I had one before that I did not need. I am interested in labor/birthing preparation. I am considering a possible home birth/water birth and would like a doula in attendance, if so. I am still working out the details of my birth plan, but know that I would like as close to a natural birth as possible (no epidural, induction, etc.).
