About Leyre

Hello! I’m the oldest of a big, loving family and have spent years as a nanny and babysitter for over 30 wonderful families. My journey to becoming a doula began after high school when a friend suggested midwifery. I’ve always had a passion for supporting women and babies, and once I dove into the fascinating world of birth, I was hooked! In 2023, I completed my doula certification to better understand the experiences of women during this incredible time and how I could best support them. I was surprised to find that many don’t always receive the love and respect they truly deserve. This realization inspired me to enroll in midwifery school, and I’m now in my third year! I firmly believe that all expecting mothers deserve support, love, and to be truly understood. Every birth is unique and should be honored. My approach focuses on providing emotional support, education, and empowerment, ensuring that families feel confident and cared for throughout their journey. I’m here to support you every step of the way through your birth, labor, and postpartum journey, within my scope of practice. Birth Haven Package

2-3 in-person visits to review everything, from previous pregnancies to preferences, goals, birth plan, and postpartum. Continuous support during pregnancy through phone calls, texts, and/or emails to answer questions and support you. Support through labor and delivery, and 1-2 hours after the birth of the baby to assist with breastfeeding if desired, and until you and your partner feel comfortable. Pictures during labor and immediate postpartum if desired. One postpartum visit 1 week after delivery

Includes text/call/zoom support during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum up to 1 week after. On-call support as soon as you book me! Ask all the questions and get all the latest evidence.

What to expect

At Leyre’s Birth Haven, I offer comprehensive birth support tailored to your unique journey. My services include prenatal visits to prepare you and your partner for labor, continuous emotional and physical support throughout birth, and postpartum care to help you rest, recover, and adjust confidently to life with your new baby. I provide evidence-based education, comfort measures such as breathing techniques, relaxation, and positioning, and compassionate guidance so you feel supported, informed, and empowered every step of the way. Whether you’re planning a hospital birth, birth center, or home birth, my goal is to create a calm and nurturing space where you can feel safe, seen, and fully present in your birthing experience. I offer a sliding scale as well if needed.

What if I cannot afford a doula?

Don’t worry! I offer a free consultation to chat about your needs. I truly believe every family deserves love and support, so I offer reduced rates or even free services to those who need them. Financial challenges shouldn’t stand in the way of having a doula. Let’s set up a time to discuss how I can help!

If I am having my partner and/or family support me do I still need a doula?

Absolutely! While family and friends want to support you, they are not always equipped with the tools and skills they need to help during this time. A doula does NOT replace the support people you choose. A doula prepares your support team to best support you!

When should I book a doula? Is it too early/late?

The soonest you can reach out is as soon as you find out you’re expecting! The ideal timeframe would be in the second or third trimester. Even if you’re just a few days away from your due date, feel free to get in touch. I am here to support you every step along the way!

Where will you support me delivering?

I wholeheartedly support moms delivering wherever they feel most comfortable—whether it’s at a hospital, a birth center, or a cozy home birth! I do not attend free births ( births without a trained medical assistant ).

Do you support Induction, C-sections, epidurals, V-BACs, etc...

Yes! Even if you’re not planning a natural birth for any reason, a doula can help you navigate your options and provide support tailored to your unique pregnancy situation, whether it’s high-risk circumstances, challenges with your support systems, or anything else you may be facing.
