Hello! We are excited for our baby girl in October and looking for a night nurse for 6-8 weeks.

We’re looking for an experienced night nanny/newborn care provider in Brooklyn for our baby due in mid-October. We’re hoping for Sunday–Thursday, approximately 10 PM–6 AM, starting a few weeks after birth. We’d like someone calm, reliable, highly experienced with newborns, and comfortable handling overnight feeds, diaper changes, soothing, and getting the baby back to sleep.

I need someone who can help me sleep training for my baby she’s 7 weeks. We deal with colic so she gets fussy here and there. Sometimes we have good days. And I need a nanny for date nights. Weekends one night.

Ideally, we would like help 4–5 nights per week, approximately 10–12 hours per night, for the first 1-2 months after delivery. We are specifically looking for someone with strong newborn experience, preferably someone who has cared for twins overnight independently. Support would include feeding, burping, diaper changes, soothing, bottle washing/preparation, and helping establish a safe sleep routine so that my husband and I can get some rest. Experience with premature or early-term babies would be a plus. CPR certification and references are preferred. We are flexible on the exact schedule and would love to discuss availability, experience with twins, and rates. Japanese-speaking would be a plus, but is not required.

As the baby nurse, you would be focused on newborn care, feeding, and sleep, as well as assistance with baby laundry. We are open to both night nurses only or full-time live-in nurses. Experience with Jewish practice & circumcision care a plus. French as second language a plus. Our budget is approximately $5K monthly + room & board (if live-in).

We would also appreciate light baby-related household help during downtime, such as washing bottles and pump parts, baby laundry, tidying the nursery and baby areas, restocking changing supplies, and occasionally preparing a simple meal or snack for me. We are not looking for a full housekeeper. One parent will be home, and my husband will generally be working, including working from home some days, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable working alongside us rather than providing completely independent childcare. We would especially value someone who is willing to teach and guide us rather than simply taking over baby care. Our target budget is approximately $30 per hour, although we are open to discussing the rate depending on experience, certifications, schedule, and responsibilities. We are also open to discussing a schedule that gives us the most useful support within our budget, such as several daytime shifts per week or targeted postpartum support during the first few weeks.
