About Lindsay

I have spent more than 35 years caring for and working with children, beginning as a teenager and continuing through roles as a nanny, educator, Reading Recovery teacher, and nutrition professional. I have cared for children from the newborn stage through the school years, including premature infants and babies with more complex needs. While my professional background has grown over the years, caring for children has always been something I naturally return to and genuinely enjoy. My approach with newborns is calm, attentive, and responsive. I believe babies need consistency, connection, and the security of having their needs met—not constant stimulation or a rigid schedule before they are ready for one. I pay close attention to a baby's individual cues while supporting the feeding, sleep, and daily routines that parents want established in their home. I also understand that I am stepping into a family's most personal space during a very tender season. My role is to make life easier, bring a steady and peaceful presence into the home, and care for a baby in a way that allows parents to feel completely comfortable when they are not there. As a mother myself and someone with a background in early childhood education, I understand both sides of the nanny-family relationship. I value open communication, reliability, common sense, and respecting that parents ultimately know their child and decide how they want their baby cared for. I am nurturing and affectionate, but also experienced enough to be confident and capable without needing to take over. My goal is simple: for your baby to feel safe, loved, and well cared for—and for you to feel that same sense of security when you leave your baby with me.

Experience Newborn & Infant Care

Experienced, nurturing care for newborns and infants in your home. Care is tailored to your baby’s individual needs and your family’s preferences and may include feeding, naps and sleep routines, diapering, age-appropriate developmental engagement, walks and outings, baby laundry, bottle preparation and cleaning, and keeping baby areas tidy. My focus is providing calm, attentive care while giving parents the peace of mind that their baby is in capable and experienced hands.

$35 USD · Per hour

What to expect

I provide individualized in-home care for newborns and infants, following each family’s preferences and the baby’s natural rhythms and cues. Care may include feeding and bottle preparation, diapering, naps and sleep routines, tummy time and developmental play, walks and outdoor time, baby laundry, bottle washing, and keeping nursery and baby areas organized. I’m also happy to support parents in establishing practical daily routines as their baby grows, while keeping my focus where it belongs—on attentive, loving care for your child.
