**Tamil / Hindi Speaking Doulas required** We are an expecting family in the Sacramento area with Kaiser Permanente insurance, looking for a certified doula fluent in Tamil and English. I plan to give birth at a local Kaiser hospital (Kaiser Roseville / Kaiser South Sacramento) with an estimated due date of March 7, 2027. Our goal is a supported, low-intervention hospital birth, and we need continuous in-person labor support, prenatal preparation, and comfort measures. For postpartum care, we are looking for newborn feeding support, maternal recovery assistance, and familiarity with South Asian/Tamil postpartum practices. Our budget relies on Kaiser Permanente insurance coverage, so we are seeking a certified doula who is in-network, contracted with Kaiser, or experienced with Kaiser reimbursement and claims. We prefer a provider with 2+ years of experience and are fully open to doulas traveling from the Bay Area or Northern California region.

I breastfed on demand, exclusively for a week. My son lost ten percent of his weigh by his first pediatric appointment on September 28th. By the next weight check appointment on October 1st he only gained an ounce. The doctor recommended we start giving him 2 ounces of formula after breastfeeding for ten minutes each side. I eventually decided I was going to focus mainly on pumping because I feel he doesn’t effectively pull milk out. Im not sure if it’s because of bad latch or low supply. Feeds last and extended amount of time and I don’t feel he is satisfied .I have had trouble with breastfeeding my other four children and eventually end up pumping and supplementing. I would like to give it one last effort.

Baby is no longer wanting to nurse. Started around 2 months. I am only able to sometimes nurse him when he wakes up, or in the middle of the night with a nipple shield if J am lucky. Baby was not able to latch when born so I was given a nipple shield. At one point he was able to latch 60% without a shield… and now he just seems to refuse the breast. We use the xs lansinoh nipple for bottles and pace feed as well.

Planning to give birth in a hospital. Looking for someone who takes insurance or payment plans. Second birth and am aiming to birth unmediated.

I am giving birth at Mercy Hospital in Folsom, CA. I would like to spend less then $1000. I would like to give birth unmedicated with the least amount of interventions as possible.

Looking ahead for a lactation consultant that would take blue shield of CA PPO insurance. Hoping for in person support.

First baby, planning a hospital birth in tracy ca, hopefully unmedicated. Need education on childbirth, lactation and birth support/advocacy and maybe some postpartum care. Should be in person. Care is mainly for mom and budget is around $2500

One week old and painful when she latches. Not sure if this is normal or she isn’t properly latching. Preferably someone in person.

Plan to give birth at the hospital. Looking for a doula or midwife to be there in the hospital and also a lactation specialist as I plan to breastfeed. Not entirely sure how much everything cost but would like to stay on the cheaper side of the budget.

6 day old baby girl with latching difficulties. She has latched onto the breast maybe 3 times for less than 5 minutes total. Minimal issues when using nipple shield, she latches pretty quickly, but eating is slower (30-45 min) and still feels like we are cluster feeding most nights. Would accept a virtual visit if in home not available. Tricare Select (Tricare west) will cover up to 6 visits

Baby not latching well and my supply is low 30-40 ml

My 5 week old and I were doing triple feeds. We started exclusively breastfeeding and he just has a shallow latch, it is not painful at all and he is transferring milk but the lactation consultant I say outpatient at the hospital was not helpful and suggested I start 3 feeding about cause he is shy 2.5oz for his daily need. I truly feel like I have the supply but maybe if he latch better. I don’t want to start offer bottle again as I feel like that’s where the confusion is. I’m open to in person if virtual. Would like to see if insurance covers or FSA
