I am looking to give birth at a hospital. And would like further recommendations for lactation consultation covered by insurance

I have a large fibroid and was told my baby would not turn into correct position, but she turned head-down this week! I also have gestational diabetes that is managed with my diet. Baby has no complications and is in the 50% for growth, right on track. I live in San Andreas, but my OB is in Lodi, I plan to give birth at Lodi Memorial. I only just discovered I won't be having a c-section, so my birth plan is very flexible at the moment (I'm not sure if I want an epidural). I could really use assistance with birth-planning as this is my first time :)

This is my fourth baby. Her latch seemed fine for awhile. When she was around 3 or 4 weeks old, I noticed a lot of pain. I had cracks all around the base of my nipples. I saw a lactation consultant at my hospital and she said my baby has a high palate. She recommended trying breast shields until I heal and then try again with a deeper latch. The breast shields haven't worked so I have been pumping. I let my nipples heal and then tried again with a deeper latch but it happened again and my nipples were in so much pain. My desire is to breastfeed though. I want to see if there's anything I can do to make that happen. I need a lactation consultant to help me figure out if I can nurse again and how to care for my nipples.

I dread every feeding. The latch hurts at the beginning every time. Sometimes I need to try the latch several times. The feeding is always uncomfortable throughout. He is getting enough milk and I am producing, but I am ready to stop because it's is so painful and uncomfortable.

We plan to give birth at Kaiser in Roseville. We will be getting an epidural. We would like the support of the doula during birth, especially during early labor when the doctor is not in the room constantly. After birth we would like someone who does home visits to help with breastfeeding/pumping, and to help mom with postpartum nutrition that is sufficient for breastfeeding but also encourages fat loss. We have Kaiser insurance, which will pay for up to 12 visits and do not want to pay out of pocket for extras. Any newborn and sleep training education the doula can give us during these visits would be greatly appreciated.
