**Tamil Speaking Doulas required** We are an expecting family in the Sacramento area with Kaiser Permanente insurance, looking for a certified doula fluent in Tamil and English. I plan to give birth at a local Kaiser hospital (Kaiser Roseville / Kaiser South Sacramento) with an estimated due date of March 7, 2027. Our goal is a supported, low-intervention hospital birth, and we need continuous in-person labor support, prenatal preparation, and comfort measures. For postpartum care, we are looking for newborn feeding support, maternal recovery assistance, and familiarity with South Asian/Tamil postpartum practices. Our budget relies on Kaiser Permanente insurance coverage, so we are seeking a certified doula who is in-network, contracted with Kaiser, or experienced with Kaiser reimbursement and claims. We prefer a provider with 2+ years of experience and are fully open to doulas traveling from the Bay Area or Northern California region.

Planning to give birth in a hospital. Looking for someone who takes insurance or payment plans. Second birth and am aiming to birth unmediated.

Baby has shallow latch gulping air and getting little milk. He then later has extreme gas and fussiness. Low output and very lethargic leading to next week feed. Need in-person support.

Baby is no longer wanting to nurse. Started around 2 months. I am only able to sometimes nurse him when he wakes up, or in the middle of the night with a nipple shield if J am lucky. Baby was not able to latch when born so I was given a nipple shield. At one point he was able to latch 60% without a shield… and now he just seems to refuse the breast. We use the xs lansinoh nipple for bottles and pace feed as well.

My 5 week old and I were doing triple feeds. We started exclusively breastfeeding and he just has a shallow latch, it is not painful at all and he is transferring milk but the lactation consultant I say outpatient at the hospital was not helpful and suggested I start 3 feeding about cause he is shy 2.5oz for his daily need. I truly feel like I have the supply but maybe if he latch better. I don’t want to start offer bottle again as I feel like that’s where the confusion is. I’m open to in person if virtual. Would like to see if insurance covers or FSA

I am planning to give birth at Kaiser Permanente Roseville Medical Center in Roseville, California. Kaiser will cover the cost of my doula, so I am looking for an experienced doula who can provide knowledgeable and supportive care throughout my labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum period. I am 40 years old and this is my second baby. I am planning a hospital birth with an unmedicated labor and delivery. I do not want pain medication and would like a doula who has significant experience supporting mothers through natural, unmedicated hospital births. An important part of my birth plan is having a doula who understands informed consent and can help me communicate my wishes clearly with my medical team. I do not want interventions performed routinely or without first discussing them with me and obtaining my consent. I would like my doula to help me ask questions, understand my options, and advocate for my preferences while respecting that medical decisions remain between me and my healthcare providers. I prefer not to have a routine IV drip or IV fluids during labor unless there is a medical indication and I have agreed to them. I also want to avoid unnecessary interventions related to delivery of the placenta. I would like the placenta to be allowed to deliver naturally when medically appropriate rather than having interventions performed routinely. If medication or another intervention is recommended, I would like my provider to explain why it is needed, the benefits and risks, and alternatives before proceeding whenever the situation allows. I would also like delayed umbilical cord clamping after birth, allowing the cord to remain unclamped for as long as medically appropriate before it is cut, unless there is a medical reason requiring immediate clamping. I plan to decline routine vaccinations for my baby at birth. I would appreciate a doula who will respectfully support my personal birth and newborn-care preferences without judgment and help me communicate these decisions with my medical team. For labor support, I would like someone experienced with breathing techniques, movement, different labor positions, massage, counter-pressure, relaxation, and other non-medication comfort measures. I want continuous encouragement and emotional support so I can remain calm, informed, and confident throughout labor. For postpartum care, I would appreciate support with newborn care, feeding or breastfeeding guidance, establishing routines, and adjusting to life with a newborn. Light practical support would also be helpful, although extensive cooking, cleaning, or laundry services are not required. I am looking for a calm, experienced, compassionate, and nonjudgmental doula who respects my choices, understands unmedicated birth, and is comfortable supporting a mother who wants to minimize unnecessary medical interventions while remaining open to medically necessary care.

6 day old baby girl with latching difficulties. She has latched onto the breast maybe 3 times for less than 5 minutes total. Minimal issues when using nipple shield, she latches pretty quickly, but eating is slower (30-45 min) and still feels like we are cluster feeding most nights.
