How these prices are calculated

Prices are the rates night nannies and newborn care specialists list on their Bornbir profiles. Birth doula packages are left out, because they pay for labor support rather than nights. So are hourly rates under $15 or over $200, to leave out package prices entered as an hourly rate by mistake.

The Los Angeles figures count providers based within 150 miles once at least 5 of them list prices; below that the page shows California or United States figures instead. Medians are the middle price, ranges the middle half of prices, and per-night costs assume a 10-hour shift. Figures recompute daily.

The cost of a night nanny in Los Angeles, CA can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in Los Angeles, CA, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. This process will help you find a night nanny who meets your needs and fits within your budget.

I am a first time single mom and was worried about taking care of my daughter Emma, alone and recovering from birth at the same time. Violet helped me with both night and day shifts. Violets day shifts depended on my needs for the day. Some days she was just happy to make me lunch and do laundry for me and Emma. Some days I needed some time alone and she was there to do tummy time with Emma, put her down for naps, and sing to her. When she was on nights she was there to burp, change, and settle the baby down again after I breast fed her so I was able to sleep a little more. She always had cleaned any bottles she would use by the morning and would make us both coffee before I got up. She even gave me a slight discount knowing I didn't have a two income household witch helped me a lot in the long run.

Hi, I'm Jaime! As a postpartum doula, PCD(DONA), I support new families with educational, emotional, and physical support. Within the unique needs of each family, I aim to establish an environment that promotes bonding, healing, and rest, while also educating on infant feeding, newborn care, family integration, baby milestones, and sleep. I also assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation. I have completed the following DONA International-approved training: Bini Birth DONA Approved Birth Doula Training (I'm now working solely as a postpartum doula), Sierra Childbirth Institute’s DONA International Postpartum Doula Training, Breastfeeding Basics for Doulas through Bini Birth, and Bini Birth's Childbirth Education Class. I am also excited about my journey towards becoming an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) and have completed both the LES (Lactation Education Specialist) course, and Lactation Consultant Education course, through Breastfeed LA. I am excited to use the knowledge I gained to provide extra support for the breast/chestfeeding relationships of new families. As a mother of two, this work is deeply important to me. I enjoy supporting families as they find their voices as new parents. I have a past enriched with supporting births as a birth doula, and bring firsthand experience to the full spectrum of birth preparedness, labor, birth, and the postpartum period. I view my role as a doula as one that protects and holds sacred the journey of each family, knowing it will become a cherished memory for my clients.

Lisa was exactly what our family needed as we stepped into life with two young kids. She brought a calm, steady presence and handled many everyday details so we could focus on our new baby and my wife's recovery. She often started her shifts with a grocery run, cooked nourishing, healthy meals, and shared practical knowledge that made us feel more confident each day. She built a wonderful bond with both the baby and our toddler. She regularly baked muffins with our older one, and they were a total hit at breakfast every morning. For my wife, connecting with another mom of a young child was invaluable. Lisa understands the information overload and constant comparison modern moms face, and she was a steady source of reassurance and comfort. Lisa is a great listener who adapted to our needs and the way we wanted to do things, while also offering thoughtful suggestions along the way. We're so grateful for her support and would recommend her to any family welcoming a new baby.

As a first-time mom and someone who really does not function well without sleep, postpartum was probably what I was most nervous about... (especially after having a necessary C-section!) I interviewed a couple different postpartum care teams and found the Newborn Dream Team immediately made me feel at ease. The first few weeks after giving birth were honestly a lot. Between recovering from my C-section, figuring out life with a newborn, and not having family in town, I was much more anxious and overwhelmed than I expected to be. I cannot thank Danielle, Pamela and Abbey enough for being there for us during that time. They were so helpful in those early weeks, not only with the baby, but with helping us figure out what worked for our family. They answered all of my questions, gave me reassurance when I needed it, and helped me feel more relaxed and confident as a new mom without ever making me feel like I didn't know what I was doing. I was breastfeeding, and they were so supportive of that while also helping us introduce a bottle. They always let us lead with what we felt most comfortable with and never made us feel pressured to do things a certain way. And honestly, being able to get some much-needed sleep knowing our baby was safe and in such good hands was *priceless.* They also helped us establish a really great routine and healthy sleep habits, and our baby was sleeping through the night by five weeks! We will miss Danielle and Pamela SO much, but it makes me so happy knowing they're always in our corner. I truly cannot recommend Newborn Dream Team enough. They made those first few weeks so much easier and more enjoyable, and I am so grateful we found them. 🤍

I provide overnight newborn care for families who want to rest and recover while knowing their baby is being cared for by an experienced, dependable professional. Whether you’re preparing to welcome your first baby, adjusting to life with multiples, or simply realizing that functioning on very little sleep isn’t sustainable, I’m here to make those early weeks a little easier. During overnight care, I can assist with: • Feeding and burping • Diapering and soothing • Breastmilk and bottle-feeding support • Washing and preparing bottles • Baby laundry and other infant-related tasks • Newborn logs and tracking feeds, sleep, and diapers • Establishing developmentally appropriate routines • Safe sleep practices • Overnight care for singletons and twins My approach is warm, calm, and judgment-free. I work alongside parents and follow their preferences while bringing professional newborn knowledge and hands-on experience into the home. One of my favorite parts of this work is walking into a home with exhausted new parents and being able to say, “I’ve got the baby tonight. Go get some sleep.” 🤍 I am Pediatric CPR/First Aid certified, have my certificate of training as an NCS, and I bring extensive professional childcare experience into every contract. I’m currently accepting 2027 overnight newborn care contracts and would love to hear about your family, your due date, and the kind of support you’re looking for. I was overall impressed not only by the fact that she is very attentive with my child but she actually cares as well. She has a certificate as a newborn specialist and I have learned so much from her. She’s very reliable and I love the fact that she’s never on her phone. (Our last sitter was always on her phone) The only reason she is available is because I’m moving. If not, I would never have let her go!!

I help new parents feel calmer, more confident, and less overwhelmed in the early weeks with their baby—especially around feeding. As a board-certified lactation consultant and newborn care specialist, I offer clear, evidence-based guidance paired with a steady, intuitive approach that helps you trust your body, your baby, and your decisions.

For any interested expecting Mama’s; don’t hesitate. If you’re looking at this it’s probably because you are considering a Lactation Consultant. Please set yourself and your baby up for success with Evonne. I had a discovery call with Evonne about 10 days before I gave birth and then saw her a handful of times after. Breastfeeding is a roller coaster and I honestly would have given up if it weren’t for Evonne. She helped with getting my baby to latch comfortably and also helped with bodywork and her neck tension. Evonne has such a calm and nurturing approach to her care. She even helped me learn the best ways to encourage my baby to sleep and massages to help with constipation. Before seeing Evonne, my baby girl had lost 8% of her body weight in the first few days but after just one appointment with Evonne, she “overachieved” on getting back on track. Shes growing so well now! We also saw Hideko for a bodywork session and she was so gentle and amazing at explaining to us everything that she was noticing. She gave us homework to help our baby also and we saw the difference in just a few days. Our baby became so much more comfortable. Both Evonne and Hideko are so flexible with in-office offerings, home visits and virtual follow-ups. They provided so much information and tutorials also to review. My family and I are so beyond grateful to Evonne and Hideko. You are in amazing hands with them!

Josée currently runs a private lactation practice in Los Angeles and lives in Pasadena with her husband and son. We just made it to a full year of breastfeeding, and I truly don’t think we would have made it without Josée's help in those early days. She was so calm, kind, and reassuring during a time that felt overwhelming and emotional. Breastfeeding was feeling so complicated, but she helped us come up with a simple, realistic game plan that worked for our family. Her relaxed approach gave me so much confidence in my body, and I am incredibly grateful for her support. I recommend her to every new parent I know!

We had a very good experience with Emilia. She was caring, gentle, reliable, and extremely attentive to the baby’s needs. Having someone experienced and trustworthy during the night gave us great peace of mind, especially during those first weeks with a newborn.
