I’m Lu Rossetto, a DONA-certified birth doula and certified postpartum doula. I provide compassionate, nonjudgmental support before and during labor, as well as postpartum family support and overnight newborn care. I assist with feeding, soothing, diaper changes, safe sleep, newborn routines, and emotional support so parents feel confident, supported, and well cared for. I serve families throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and speak English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

I provide compassionate birth and postpartum doula support throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. As a birth doula, I support families before and during labor with preparation, comfort measures, emotional reassurance, and advocacy for their preferences. After birth, I specialize in overnight newborn care, helping parents rest and recover while supporting feeding, diapering, soothing, safe sleep, newborn care education, and tracking feeding, sleep, and diaper patterns. My goal is to help every family feel informed, confident, cared for, and supported throughout birth and the first weeks at home.
I don't have enough words to express how grateful I am for Lu. She stepped in when our daughter was just a few days old, and cared for her with such warmness and compassion. Our little one is very gassy, and Lou taught us some great techniques for relieving her gas. She also provided very detailed reports of everything that happened during the night. Most importantly, I was able to get good rest knowing my baby was in good hands.

I had the pleasure of working with Louruama "Lu" as our night doula in the 2nd and 3rd month of our baby's sleep journey. While we didn't have her for too long, she immediately identified ways to keep our son sleeping better longer within the first 1-2 days of working with her. We had been struggling with the dream feeds, and with her great inuition she was able to find the window and help us and our baby sleep better. She also was so helpful with the chores during the night: pump & bottle cleaning, baby's laundry, organizing the clean laundry. It was such a joy to be able to wake up to a rested household, with everything clean, and focus on bonding and learning together. Anyone would be so lucky to haver her help!

Lu is amazing! She adapts her care-taking style to our baby and makes us feel at ease when she's around. She's very good at documenting our son's activity while he's with her and sending us a thorough summary each day. When our baby is asleep, she'll clean bottles and do his laundry, which is extremely helpful for us. I would recommend Lu to any family looking for extra doula support!
