About me

Hi there! My journey as a birth and postpartum doula began with a simple yet powerful realization: too many families face parenthood weighed down by fear, doubt, and isolation. My work is about helping you build confidence, trust your instincts, and embrace the beautiful, imperfect journey of parenthood with peace and strength. From the very first flutter of possibility through the tender, tiring, beautiful early days of parenthood, my team and I aim to be the bridge that helps families feel supported, informed, and empowered. My approach to birth blends practical knowledge with heartfelt care—nurturing nutrition, mindset preparation, and gentle body movement—so every family feels ready, capable, and never alone. When I'm not serving as a doula, you'll find me nose-deep in a book, wandering through nature, or soaking up time with my own family—the very thing that inspired this work in the first place.

Twenty hours of hands-on support to help you settle into the rhythm of the fourth trimester—so you can rest, heal, and simply be with your baby. I'll help you do some light tidying so your space feels calm, and hold your baby while you nap, shower, or simply breathe. When breastfeeding feels hard, we'll keep working on that latch together. And when it all feels like a lot, I'm here for that too—to sit with you, listen, and remind you that what you're feeling is normal. This isn't just help around the house; it's a steady, experienced presence in your corner, so you never have to figure out the fourth trimester alone.

Rooted + Ready: Private Prenatal Class
This package is for the mom and support person who want to walk into labour feeling grounded, informed, and truly ready—not just for birth, but for the weeks that follow. We'll start by getting clear on what your ideal experience actually looks like: I'll ask you to describe it in just three words, and everything we do together will be built around bringing that vision to life. From there, I'll prepare you mentally, emotionally, and physically for an efficient, empowered labour—teaching you the built-in tools you already have, the pelvis and tools that help your body and baby work with each other, not against each other. If you're hoping for an unmedicated birth, I specialize in helping you get there with confidence, and if faith is part of your journey, we'll weave that into your preparation too. We won't stop at birth: you'll also learn the postpartum essentials, from latching to pumping, so you feel just as prepared for life at home as you do for the big day itself.

Fiona was absolutely amazing! She prepared us so much for postpartum that we had minor issues. During my labour she was the reason I felt supported enough for my husband to deliver our baby, she also did prep with him beforehand and everyone was raving about how well he did! We had a beautiful experience, she made me feel so safe. I couldn’t have gotten through my labour so well without her. I had an absolutely beautiful stress free home birth with her. We will definitely be booking her for the next 😅☺️

Working with Fiona was, without a doubt, the best decision I made for my pregnancy and postpartum journey. From our very first meeting, it was clear that she isn't just a doula; she is a master educator who brings a wealth of knowledge and a calming, steady presence to what can often be an overwhelming time. Not only that, but Fiona was really incredible at understanding our desires, helping us to figure out our desires even further, and then leaning into whatever need be to support our journey moving forward. As an educator, Fiona has a gift for breaking down complex information into manageable, empowering insights. She helped me navigate every prenatal milestone with confidence, ensuring I felt informed and prepared for every possible scenario. She doesn't just give you the "what"—she explains the "why," which gave me a sense of agency that I truly value. During the postnatal period, she was an absolute lifeline. Her support was integral to my transition into motherhood, providing not just physical help, but the emotional and educational scaffolding I needed to find my footing. Whether it was troubleshooting late-night questions or offering gentle guidance on recovery, Fiona was there with exactly the right resource or word of encouragement. If you are looking for someone who is deeply knowledgeable, intuitively supportive, and an essential partner in your birth experience, I cannot recommend Fiona highly enough. She didn't just support my birth; she empowered my entire transition into parenthood.

Having Fiona by our side was one of the best decisions we made. She was a lifesaver in those early weeks after our baby arrived. She offered practical help with feeding, sleep, and recovery, but also emotional support when I was overwhelmed. She created a peaceful, judgment-free environment and helped our whole family adjust. I don’t know how we would have managed without her! From the moment we met her, she made us feel calm, informed, and supported. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend her to any expecting family!

My husband and I had multiple interviews with various doulas and we hadn’t connected with anyone like Fiona. Fiona is the most patient, accommodating, and knowledgeable. From the very first night, she brought such calm, confidence, and care into our home. She has been a true lifesaver for the first couple of weeks post partum — she brought us so much ease caring for our newborn and provided great advice and care for my recovery as well. We would recommend Fiona in a heartbeat!!! 1000000/10

Fiona was incredible from the moment we connected — so genuine and kind. Her gentle, reassuring, and loving approach meant the world to me as a fragile new mom, and she was absolutely wonderful with my twin babies. She truly felt heaven-sent and made my new mom experience so special. I couldn’t have asked for a better doula to have by my side.

As a first time mom, the best investment/gift is to get a doula, and if you're blessed to be in the GTA, specifically Fiona from Heart & Womb. From the beginning, Fiona has educated my husband and I about all our options during labour and delivery, plus exercises and ways to prepare for the big day. Although nothing went according to our birth plan, I was proud of myself to be able to advocate for how I wanted my birth to go and that's all because of Fiona. I had a 36 hr labour with some complications along the way. Let's just say, had it not been for Fiona with all her knowledge about birth, I think that the outcome would be very different for my daughter and I. Fiona, we are truly blessed to have you by our side throughout the entire process. It helped us tune out the unwarranted advice and opinions in order to make our own as parents. The best blessing is that our faith brought us together and I can't thank you enough for your prayers throughout this journey.

Fiona was our doula for my first pregnancy in 2024. I cannot recommend her enough and am so grateful to have found her. I instantly had a great connection with Fiona after finding her and knew she would be an awesome fit for us. From home visits, to phone calls and virtual meetings, she was always there to support my husband and I. As first time parents, her in person classes and resources were extremely helpful and we referred back to them on multiple occasions. At our birth, she helped to take care of us and our baby and was an extra shoulder to lean on when we needed the most support. Most importantly, Fiona gave me the confidence to have the birth experience that I always wanted. She empowered me to believe in myself and trust my body and my mindset around birth completely shifted because of her. I can confidently say that I don't think I would have had a positive birth experience if it wasn't for her. Do yourself a favour and hire her as your doula!!! We love you Fiona and thank you for everything! ❤️

I was lucky enough to be paired with the exemplary Doula, Fiona. From our very first introductory conversation she immediately put me at ease with her thoughtful listening to my concerns and wishes and her breadth of knowledge. Each consecutive interaction with her was super informative, tailored to our needs and compassionate. When baby's delivery hit some obstacles, she was there to soothe and reassure me while doing everything possible to inform me and make sure I was completely competent in making the right decisions for baby and myself. Fiona also did not leave my side until the very end. I will never forget her reassuring presence throughout this process - hiring a Doula turned out to be the best decision I could have made in this life-changing process. I have so much gratitude to Heart And Womb for easeful arrangements and most of all to Fiona for all her efforts.

Look no further for your Doula.. Fiona is it! In July 2024 my husband and I welcomed our first child, and I don't think we would have been able to do it without Fiona by our sides through it all! I accessed Fiona through the Mindful Mommy Doula Services website and from my first interview with her I knew I wanted her to support me. Fiona is incredibly warm, knowledgeable, reassuring and empowering. She provided prenatal home visits to help us learn about labour, delivery, newborn care and feeding. Leading up to the birth, she helped me navigate the anxiety that came with a nearing due date and no signs of labour. She gave me confidence in my decision to ask for an induction, even though natural child birth was my plan, she reassured me that what is most important for my baby is that I'm in a good mindset and it's not a *bad* thing at all to change my mind. I loved her ability to balance what I wanted but also help me release expectations. When it my induction date came, she was ready on stand by for my husbands call. Upon her arrival at the hospital, she came ready to support me and educate my husband on how to best help me during the pain. She supported me when I got my epidural and worked beside my midwives like they were all one team. All in all, having Fiona on my side during my pregnancy, labour and postpartum was one of the best decisions and I wouldn't change a thing. I will 100% be reaching out again if I require Doula services again for my next child.

Im so Thankful to have found Fiona. I interviewed 5 different people and she was the most Qualified, knowledgeable, and warmest person of all. She answered all our questions and walked us through what a day would look like with her help. She is also a lactation specialist which was a big plus. She always had great tips, from how to introduce baby to dog to how to position baby differently for breastfeeding. I would definitely recommend her! Thanks again Fiona and see you in the future

We were introduced to a number of doulas during our first pregnancy for pre natal education. None of them stood out like Fiona, and so when I had my second child, four years later, she was at the top of my postpartum wish list. From the first day Fiona came into our home, she instantly felt like part of the family. She helped me with improving and troubleshooting breastfeeding issues, bathed and snuggled my newborn, supported my partner through his journey as a second time parent, and giggled with my toddler so I could have a minute with baby. Fiona was always there either in person or by text when I needed her. She always knew exactly what needed to be done with little to no direction - the mark of an experienced doula! I am grateful that she carried so much of the mental load when I didn’t have capacity for it. I also appreciate that she catered her care program around what we needed most and where we were comfortable welcoming assistance. Not only was Fiona an amazing help in person, the whole experience from setting the initial contact call, through the paper work and other admin was extremely organized and professional. It’s these small things that just inspire confidence and take the guess work out of choosing the right doula. Above all else, Fiona is a genuinely caring, warm and fantastic person to have alongside you during this important journey. She will also make you laugh and laugh and laugh to get you through those postpartum blues. As my toddler has said several times already - we would love for Fiona to come back 100 more times. Thank you for coming into our lives, Fiona. We are forever grateful.

We are so very grateful for Fiona. From the moment we met her on our intro call a connection was built and made our decision to work with her so much easier. She was an integral part of our postpartum journey. Helping us to navigate many different areas including breastfeeding, formulas, and babies room. As first time parents to a premie she helped provide support and ease as we discovered our baby. Thank you Fiona for stepping in when we needed support last minute and for all your knowledge, laughs, hugs and comfort. We highly recommend her and will definitely work with her for the next one. 🤞🏼

I had an incredible experience and successful VBAC with Fiona as my birth doula. Fiona is knowledgeable, warm, loving, attentive and compassionate. Throughout my pregnancy, Fiona always made me feel supported and understood. I felt comfortable enough to share all of my thoughts, worries and concerns with her during our check-ins and prenatal visits. She always offered valuable feedback, advice, exercises and asked thoughtful follow-up questions. I experienced pelvic pain in my third trimester and Fiona showed me many exercises and stretches during our prenatal visits to help alleviate the pain and strengthen the pelvic area to prepare for childbirth. She involved my husband and guided him to help relieve my pain through stretching. She sought my feedback on the difficulty level and offered modified options when needed. I found Fiona's prenatal classes to be insightful. I learned so much and realized how little I knew about childbirth even though this was my second pregnancy. What I appreciated most about the prenatal class was her demonstration of exercises, explaining what to expect once I get to the hospital, talking about the various scenarios which may arise once there and what to expect with a newborn. When labor started, I felt so grateful to have Fiona by my side. She was a calming presence and her gentle reassurances were exactly what I needed to stay focused and strong. When I became doubtful and felt weak, she continued to be positive, loving and even firm when needed. When I couldn't move and could only curl up in a ball, she encouraged me and helped move my body in positions that would ease pain and progress labour. It was like having a family member with me. Fiona empowered me in a way I never imagined possible. She was my anchor during one of the most intense moments of my life. Her presence made all the difference. Whenever I share my birth story with others, I will always include the impact she had. She continues to support me during post-partum and help with the struggles associated with figuring out a newborn. She provided lactation support by way of observing the latch and offering suggestions to make it as comfortable and efficient as possible, observing my frustration with feeding positions and showing me new ones. Whenever I had a problem, she listened attentively and offered many solutions. She genuinely cares. Fiona is a light in this world.

Fiona was amazing from start to finish! She made us feel comfortable from the first home visit, her calming presence in the delivery room as well as the after care visit! Professional, genuine and supportive are just a few words I can use to describe the support! We would highly recommend her to any potential soon to be moms!

Fiona was our postpartum doula for our second child. I wish we had her for our first as well - we had no idea how much help a doula could provide. Fiona is like the whole "village" in one woman.

I am so glad that Fiona was there to guide us through the sleepless nights, the difficulties with breastfeeding, and the chaos that was our home in the beginning. As older first-time parents, our own parents were too old to help out and we didn't have much family around to support us through this stage. Fiona came in with such patience, compassion, and knowledge... and humour too! It brought us a lot of relief to this otherwise stressful time. She helped me with breastfeeding, which I never imagined being so challenging physically and emotionally. We were doing a combination of breast, bottle and formula in the first six weeks. She helped us organize our home in terms of bottle station, changing stations, and sleep area for our baby girl. Eventually, I got the hang of breastfeeding and we are now in the fourth month of solely breastfeeding the little one! It has become the easiest solution now compared to all of the pumping and bottle cleaning that we did before. I also never imagined how little time I would have for myself especially the first few months when it is so important to recover, but also take care of a small human. With the help of Fiona, I was able to take naps, sitz baths, showers, and eventually even workouts and real baths! It was also helpful for someone to acknowledge the stresses new fathers go through as well. Fiona was instrumental in supporting both me and my husband in this fourth trimester. We also learned that she had worked in product safety before becoming a doula and she was so informative when it came to questions about bedsharing, contact napping, crib and playpen safety. She approached each question with an open mind and absolutely no judgement! It was always a comfort to talk to her about every aspect of postpartum. Even now, we are planning to call her up to help us through the dreaded sleep training. I cannot recommend Fiona enough. I was hesitant to have someone in my house in such an intimate way, at such a special time in our lives, but Fiona integrated herself seamlessly into our daily rhythms of dishes, laundry, naps, and tummy time. I can't thank her enough for the tremendous support and kindness she has offered us. Thank you!

After an unplanned C Section with my first birth I knew that I wanted a doula for any subsequent pregnancies. Fiona is a God send, she is wise and calm , assisted me with releasing my fears and preparing for birth. She also assisted my husband in supporting me and I was able to have a successful VBAC. I am forever grateful for her.

Fiona was a godsend. As new parents we felt lost in the wilderness at times but Fiona's patient, positive, reassuring guidance gave us confidence to take care of our little one. Super knowledgeable on a wide range of concerns that new parents face. It doesn't hurt that our daughter Zizi loves her too! Thanks Fiona, you're amazing!

This was our first experience with a doula for our second birth. I am in absolute awe of Fiona - she is the most caring, and thoughtful doula. The entire process was magical after experiencing a traumatic first birth. Fiona went above and beyond to connect with our family and help me through my traumas. We are so excited to have her on our team for our third child!

My husband and I were highly blessed to have Fiona with us for our entire labour and delivery experience at Humber River Hospital - Keele Site on August 12-13/2023. Fiona was prompt with arrival when she was notified that I would be admitted and she had all sorts of supplies ready to work thru the stages. She was friendly, kind, shared some experiences, gave insight of what I was working thru. She was respectful to the hospital staff. She was dressed well and ready to work. Fiona was applauded by the hospital nurse because of her work ethics, the nurse had said she has never seen a doula work so well before. We prayed together, we listened to worship music and sang, she included my husband in movements which was a blessing because it’s our first and he wanted to be supportive. We definitely created an atmosphere that was filled with the Holy Spirit and I am very grateful for Fiona encouraging this! Fiona was intentional in her words and empowering not only me to have a voice but for my husband to be clear and stand firm on what our plan was and not feel judged or waver when asked questions. I didn’t take any medication and Fiona worked from the moment she got there, when I was 4cm to when I was admitted to the postpartum care unit at 2am on August 13/23. She did not leave my side, even in my most vulnerable moments in the bathroom - she kept her smile and kept me in positive mindset. I will be ensuring my sisters who do not have kids, are supported by Fiona and I wholeheartedly will work to have her present for all my future children. If Fiona wasn’t with me, I wouldn’t have been able to do what I did in that room. If you are looking for someone who will have your best intentions at the forefront of their mind and will support you in your most vulnerable moment - Fiona is to doula to hire! You will not be disappointed!

I was referred to Fiona by another doula when I was looking for a birth doula with training in the Body Ready Method, because I liked the focus on a physiological approach to pregnancy and birth. This was my second pregnancy so I wanted to build a solid team around me. I’m so glad that we were connected because Fiona was everything and more than I could have hoped for! My number one priority for choosing a birth doula was whether I felt safe and connected with them: Fiona was wonderfully warm, supportive, and attentive. I felt extremely comfortable and safe with her. I appreciated her attentiveness and personalized and thoughtful support. She didn’t just provide me with the “cookie cutter” response, but really tried to take in so consideration my background and context when providing a recommendation, whether it be for pregnancy prep, during labour, breastfeeding and postpartum. She has a wonderful set of skills throughout the domains of pregnancy, birth and postpartum. She embodies warm empathy and thoughtful clinical reasoning. Our time with her was filled with ease, playfulness, support, trust, and learning. Her presence gave me much peace during my pregnancy and birth as I knew I had a wonderful support person in Fiona. I’d recommend her over and over again!

Fiona was an amazing addition to my second pregnancy, breastfeeding and postpartum journey. After postpartum with my first, I chose to build a team of support for my second pregnancy/ postpartum experience. This included pelvic physiotherapist, doula, and registered lactation/postpartum nurse. Initially I wasn’t entirely sold or sure about how a doula could benefit us, but from our first meeting I knew I wanted to work with Fiona. Fiona supported during my difficult pregnancy with calls just to talk things out. When my water broke at home her advice (call/text) helped me to get the rest needed before heading to the hospital. She prepped me on standard procedure for my situation and it played out near to exactly as she had described. She was able to talk me through the induction process, and with a great team at the hospital, we thankfully had a quick smooth delivery. During postpartum, I had a difficult time breastfeeding my first. With Fiona’s support, I got through the initial challenging weeks with my second where she gave advice for colostrum expression and building my milk supply. With her support along with my postpartum nurse, I have been successfully breastfeeding for 3 months now without need for supplementation and I’m hoping it continues. During postpartum, part of my package was in home visits. The first two visits were one on one with me, but the last visit Fiona spent time with my older daughter. She gave her some attention and helped her clean up last items that we didn’t get to as my second baby came early. My daughter truly enjoyed this time with Fiona and was making her own plans for future visits with her☺️. A BIG THANK YOU to you Fiona for all your support through my second pregnancy/ postpartum journey. It was positive thanks to you and I felt so supported. If you are considering a doula, just do it. You won’t regret it regardless of however you decide to integrate her into your experience. Fiona is absolutely wonderful!

From the moment we met Fiona, we felt at ease. We were drawn in by her warmth and instantly felt comfortable in her presence. During our first meeting she really took the time to listen and asked all the right questions. We discussed our previous birth experience to uncover what worked and what didn’t and went through endless details so she could really see what our vision was this time around. She truly listened! And it’s important to note that it wasn’t just about my experience and my vision but my husband’s as well - he felt heard and cared for by Fiona instantly. Leading up to the birth, Fiona was always right there via text or phone call to answer all of my questions and even more importantly to support me. We faced some hurdles on our way and she always began every conversation by asking how I was feeling. She had answers but always let me get there at my own pace... truly like the friend I didn’t even know I needed! On the day of the birth Fiona was right there from the word go. Never questioning if it was time to jump in, rather being right there every step of the way with us. Her gentle touch and words of encouragement always came at the right moment. She was not only there for me but was a coach and partner for my husband and worked directly with the midwives to balance their advice with my wishes. Her ability to anticipate my needs completely blew us away! Looking back at the birth of our son we can’t help but see Fiona in all of those memories for all of the right reasons. If you’re looking for Doula, we couldn’t recommend Fiona enough!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Fiona. She's an absolute saint. I am so incredibly lucky I got to have her by my side throughout my entire pregnancy and labour/birth experience. From the moment I met her we just clicked. She is such a warm, caring, calm presence and she always made me feel confident, reassured, cared for and listened to. She always went above and beyond for me and my husband. From our phone calls, video calls, to in person lessons and finally our labour and birth she was a god send. She is such a wealth of knowledge and made us feel confident with learning new skills in order to care for our baby as well as how to handle labour and delivery. My labour and birth unfortunately did not go to plan and it was because of Fiona I was able to navigate such an incredibly challenging experience. She helped me make decisions when I struggled, she gave me strength when I thought I couldn't handle anymore. She stayed with me every moment- even waited to see me after I had an emergency c-section. I felt so safe and protected with her. I 1000% recommend her to every one. I remember saying to my husband I have no idea how any couple navigates labour and birth without a doula- they are an incredible support system to add to your team. Thank you Fiona for absolutely everything. I consider you a dear friend and will definitely be calling upon you again when we - god willing - have another baby.

My partner and I are first time parents, and had reached out to a few doulas about lactation support and post-partum care. We chose Fiona because of how warmly she responded to us. The other places gave a cold, business-like response, but Fiona was excited for us and our journey. I'm glad we chose Fiona because she is an amazing doula and thoughtful person. She supported us in preparing for the birth with knowledge about what to expect and advice on what we can do (e.g. exercises, birthing positions for pain relief, how a partner can help etc). In her post-partum sessions with us she helped our son successfully latch. This was a big concern for my partner and the main reason we seeked a doula with a background as a lactation specialist. She also helped us develop a sleep routine to make being new parents more manageable. Fiona really makes you feel supported and not alone. She was caring, invested, took the time to really understand our needs, alleviated a lot of new parent anxiety, and got our son latching and on a sleep routine. Fiona is the best!

Fiona simply put is AMAZING. From our first telephone chat her professionalism, knowledge, grace and care for pregant bodies & family is so evident. What I love most about Fiona and the delivery womb service is the centering around client centered choices and relationship. Through out every step of my post partum journey Fiona provided space, knowledge and a judgment free space to allow choice & once a choice was made there was endless support in the form of check ins, resources and impeccable detail. If a mama and family is looking for a Doula that truly cares about mama's, babies, families & is a beautiful soul Fiona and the delivery womb is the best selection.

I wish I had found Fiona sooner. But I found her when I needed her. What was supposed to be a quick chat about becoming a doula myself, turned into going through my birth story and getting the support I hadn’t received. She listened and helped me work through some big feelings without ever making me feel rushed. And still gave me info on different courses to become a doula. I can’t recommend Fiona enough!

Fiona is a remarkable birth doula and person. I used her services for my 3rd child after a previous traumatic birth. I unexpectedly was required to be in hospital on bedrest until the birth of my daughter. Fiona came to visit me in the hospital to help ease my fears and supported me virtually until the day of birth. When we received the notification it was time to induce we were given clear expectations from Fiona on what to expect and when she would arrive. She stayed with us for over 12+ hours and supported me and my husband physically and emotionally the entire time through my unmedicated birth. She advocated for me to the nurses and doctors and was also their post birth to ensure I was ok when our child was taken to the NICU. Fiona was a godsend. There was no way I would’ve made it through this birth without carrying trauma if it wasn’t for her. I felt protected and my mental health felt safe with her. Lastly, as a black women having a black birth doula by my side meant everything to me. If you are on the fence about hiring a Birth Doula Fiona is it! don’t think about it, it’ll be the best decision you ever made.

Fiona was extremely knowledgeable, kind and patient. She took the time to listen to me about my struggles with breastfeeding my newborn, asked valid questions to get to the root of the issues, and provided some great recommendations that are working. She also gave great advice about how I can minimize the likelihood of me getting mastitis this time around, given that I’m an overproducer with extremely fatty milk. I definitely recommend her services for anyone with questions, struggling, or looking for reassurances.

I’ve had the absolute pleasure of working with Fiona from conception to postpartum and she has been nothing short of amazing. This was my second pregnancy and comparing it to the first was truly like night and day in the best way, and Fiona had a lot to do with that. This pregnancy was very mentally, physically, and emotionally challenging. She was extremely understanding and empathetic, all while being a problem solver. She was always available and I could always tell she cared, the support was unmatched. I could not have gotten through certain situations without her and if I wasn’t in my right mind, I would consider a second child haha. Thank you so much Fiona.

The ladies were extremely helpful and overall a pleasure to work with. I felt taken care of, well informed and comfortable enough to ask for help even after our service period had ended. I surely will be using them for my next baby! Highly recommend.

I was the support person for my cousin’s delivery and Fiona supported the birth virtually. Although I have witnessed previous births in the past, I was doubtful of how she would support us when she wasn’t in the room. I am a believer in virtual support now! The overall vibe of this birth was so different. Having Fiona be there with us took so much pressure off of myself, that I didn’t even expect to be there. I felt like I had someone I could lean on when I became doubtful and concerned. She spoke with us several times over the phone as we laboured at home to give suggestions and remind me of what to expect next. We talked on our way to the hospital, which I actually appreciated A LOT so I could focus on the road (lol). Whenever I called Fiona or she called and checked in, she ask how things were going, gave suggestions (and sent pictures) of things we could do next, kept reminding to take care of myself, gave me great encouraging phrases to say to my cousin and explained what the doctors were saying/about to say. We didn’t keep her on the phone during the pushing but did call her once my niece was born and she celebrated that moment with us. We then reconnected when we moved into the recovery room and she helped out with breastfeeding tips and what to expect over the next few days. It truly brought comfort, information and enjoyment to the process rather than loneliness and uncertain that I experienced with my previous delivery.

With all that was happening with COVID, we didn’t want too many people to be in our home. So we decided to use Nurturing Village Co for postpartum support over the phone, emails and video calls. From our first video call, Fiona was so easy to talk to. She was full of knowledge and ideas of things we could try but never forceful. I always felt like it was okay to say no to an idea that didn’t work for my family and receive other suggestions that did work. When we would call with an update, she was just excited as we were. It truly felt like we were just talking with a friend that had experience with newborns. She was patient, understanding and very considerate. She always checked on me, and how I was healing/feeling as I often neglected to think about how I was actually doing. It was very nice. Overall, knowing we could ask Fiona any question that came to mind left us gave us such a relief. She supported us not just with information but encouragement to listen to our instincts. We honestly walked away feeling more confident in ourselves than we did listening to friends and family. We are so thankful we found Nurturing Village in the midst of everything! Highly recommend working with them!

As first time parents, we knew we would need the extra help of someone trustworthy. When I found Lerri-Ann, I knew she would fit with us. Having all the anticipated 'new mom' anxieties Lerri-Ann was calming for me and my new baby girl. She was there to talk with me, she held and rocked the baby while I slept and my husband worked, she was always on time, it was an amazing overall experience. She provided 5-star service and I recommend her to anyone thinking about adding doula services.

I had the pleasure of working with Lerri Ann from the moment I got a positive test result. She was very professional yet warm and was able to calm my nerves throughout my pregnancy and postpartum period. She has a wealth of knowledge and went above and beyond in providing our family with the resources we needed to take care of our little girl. I love the fact that I can still ask her for tips about my toddler and she's always eager to help. I highly recommend her services and encourage anyone reading this to add doula to their baby essential checklist.
