My baby's mom is having my son on October 1, and I need an African-American Doula to help her through the process in regards to making sure that she doesn't take shots or pills that could harm the baby, As well as preventing any practices that might not be applicable or harmful to an African-American baby.. This is my second pregnancy and I’m having twins. My first labor was very long and I was rejected from the hospital 5 separate times. I really felt like I didn’t have any health care people advocating for me and because I’d never given birth and was in a boat load of pain I didn’t know how to advocate for myself. I thought going into my second pregnancy I would know more of what was going happen since I’d done it before but since finding out I’m having twins a few months ago I feel like I’m back to being in the dark since it’s so different with twins. I’m not sure what my budget is yet since I’ve never had a doula so I don’t know what it usually costs. I’ll be delivering at banner desert hospital. I would really like to have a vaginal birth if at all possible and I feel like having someone that is familiar with the process would help me achieve that.

Planning to give birth in a hospital under a midwife looking for a birthing doula

Hi there, I'm just trying to find an in-person doula in my covered insurance network with AZ BCBS PPO. I'm having a water birth in-center at the Tempe Birth Center in Tempe, Arizona 85281. This is my first pregnancy and I don't have any local family or any family able to support during the birth (permanently disabled/wheelchaired mother) so hoping to get any kind of guidance or support that I can find with a doula!

First baby, in Tempe. I need someone to help me figure out my latch and how to mitigate my fast let down and help around the house and overnight while my husband sleeps so he can go to work the next day. In person would be preferred. 3 nights per week and hours would be negotiable. Start date is as soon as possible and duration would be for about 10 weeks.
