I plan to give birth at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ. I am in the process of developing my birth plan. I generally prefer to not use medicine but open to exploring. I feel very strongly I do not want a Caesarian section. Looking for general assistance once we bring the child home, however, I would also be open to having someone be an advocate for me in the delivery room. Once the baby is home I will want someone to check for signs of infection, improvements or safety checks for the home and coaching the parents and mother-in-law on healthy habits.

I would like support during birth and after as a priority and a little bit of prep before. I'd also like the Doula to accept Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance.
