Hi, I am 34 years old and pregnant with my first baby, a girl, due June 29. I am planning to give birth at Swedish First Hill, working with the midwives. My spouse Andrew and I are very new to all this and are looking for the kind of physical, informational, and emotional support a doula can provide. We are prepared to pay between $2000-2800 for the kind of package that includes a prenatal visit or two, labor and delivery support, and a postnatal visit. I am interested in trying to give birth without an epidural, though I am not opposed to using that if I feel I need it; a doula who can help coach me through breathing, visualizing, and other pain management techniques like massage would be reassuring and a huge help. Some specific items on our birth plan include: delay clamping until cord stops pulsing, immediate skin to skin, delay first bath until > 24 hours after birth, no hep b vaccine (will revisit at 2 months), and no erythromycin eye ointment (we’ll sign informed refusal form). I am planning to breastfeed if possible so a doula who can offer knowledge and support in that process would also be helpful. I look forward to hearing from you!
I want a at home birth if I can’t do a water birth
I plan to give birth at Swedish Hospital off Broadway in Seattle. My budget is low and I'm seeking someone that knows they are covered with Kaiser. My birth plan is detailed out in a document. But the abbreviated version is I would like a natural birth but welcome medical interventions like epidurals and pain relief measures. I struggle with anxiety and need emotional support.

Delivering at Swedish Child Birth Center in Seattle WA. We are looking for a Child Birth Support Doula who is covered under Anthem Blue Cross Insurance
I am having my fourth child. I am going to be solo-parenting 3 elementary school aged children (11, 8, and 6) while welcoming my new baby. My current children’s father is not the father of my newest addition. I plan to give a medicated birth at a hospital, Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA. As far as budget goes, I am hoping to find someone covered by my insurance. My birth plan actually needs a lot of planning still. This will be my first unsupported birth. With my previous children I had my partner, mother and usually another female family member. It has been over 6 years since my last birth and I’m open to trying new things like birthing baths and alternative pushing positions. My births have always been short (4-6 hours from start to final push.) I never had any complications after birth or during but did need an iron transfusion before my third child was born, I went into labor the night after receiving the transfusion. I need a lot of guidance and support and will be struggling with anxiety during this pregnancy and birth.
