About me

Hello, My name is Merissa Khumalo, and I am an educator and long-term nanny turned Birth and Postpartum Doula! I have a passion for holistic health and have experience with families of many different backgrounds. I feel called to this career and can use my skills to support families from conception to contraction and beyond! I am knowledgeable in herbalism, nutrition, exercise, breastfeeding, essential oils, sleep training, baby-led weaning, cloth diapering, chronic illness support, healthy home practices, and so much more! I will help you sing, shout, and let it all out during birth while acting professionally as your biggest advocate--whether you decide on a home or hospital birth. I will support you with nourishing meals, pelvic floor exercises, and positive affirmations in the postpartum period and even help you get your baby on a schedule that gives you peace of mind as you recover. In my free time, I love playing tabletop games, reading books, crafting, and trying new recipes!
