I am a Certified Postpartum Doula and Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Postpartum Care is my passion. In 2014, I started Bridgetown Baby, a local doula agency that specializes in postpartum care available. At Bridgetown Baby, we believe that a supported, restful postpartum experience brings life-long benefits for parents and their children. Our Certified Postpartum Doulas and Lactation Consultants (IBCLC) coordinate care around the clock so you can truly rest, bond and ease into your new life with strength and confidence. Custom Packages

Each family has a unique constellation of needs. We are committed to helping you build a personalized plan to best fit - and grow with - you as you navigate the first weeks after your baby’s birth and up to 12 months of age. Elements of a postpartum care plan may include: newborn care education; support to meet your feeding goals; sleep support; household management; emotional support; and referrals to other resources in your community. We will work with you to create a postpartum plan perfect for your family.

What to expect

Overnight Doula Care Is sleep a priority of yours during the postpartum period? Research shows that families who get more regular sleep after childbirth heal faster, are more resilient, and are better able to thrive in the early postpartum period. Our nighttime doulas are often described as quiet, magical gnomes who lovingly care for your baby/babies while cleaning the kitchen, helping with laundry, and finishing with a hot, nutritious breakfast for you to wake up to - all while you sleep. Overnight visits are typically 10 hours in duration, scheduled between 9pm and 7am. Daytime Doula Days with a new baby mean lots of snuggles but can also feel endless and lonely. They can be especially hard if you have older children to care for, as well. Daytime doula support from Bridgetown Baby can start as soon after your baby’s/babies’ arrival as you’d like, and can help nurture the whole family in a variety of ways. At the beginning of each visit, your doula will help you prioritize 2-4 goals for the visit. Examples include: a shower, a nap, help with feeding, cooking a pot of soup for dinner, giving the baby a bath together, and/or completing a couple of loads of laundry. We can also accomplish a lesson on babywearing, provide you with time to return a few phone calls, and/or set you up to take a sitz bath. Additionally, we can spend one-on-one time with the partner/papa/grandparent on bottle-feeding, swaddling, or simply answering newborn questions. Daytime visits are typically 5 hours in duration, scheduled between 9am and 5pm.
