Lena Floyd Tahir Birth & Postpartum Doula in Portland, OR
About Lena
Hi there! My name is Lena Floyd Tahir (she/they), and I am a birth and postpartum doula based in Portland, OR. I come from a long line of birth workers: my grandmother was a NICU nurse and my great grandmother was a rural health doctor in Pakistan. This family history spurred an early interest in perinatal health care. I was diagnosed with endometriosis in my 20's, and thus developed the necessary skill of navigating healthcare systems. From my own advocacy, I developed a greater curiosity for the reproductive health space. My varied comfort skills draw from my experiences with chronic pain. Through my work as a doula, I aim to bolster a sense of empowerment and safety for the families I work with. I am a queer, neurodivergent person of color, and my broad life experiences make me uniquely capable of supporting my clients through any twists and turns that their birth and postpartum journey may bring. In my free time I enjoy crafting, karaoke, and quiet nights in with my partner, dog, and three cats.
