Ayesha is a certified doula and childbirth educator. She provides childbirth education to all her clients upon hire. Each client has different needs; therefore, she is willing to adjust and tailor each contract individually based on what support is needed. The services provided include pregnancy support, labor and delivery support, and postpartum support. For pregnancy support, Ayesha is available 24/7 upon hire to answer any non-medical questions. Ex- what to expect at doctor appointments. She also has personal experience with 2 pregnancies. For labor and delivery support, Ayesha can provide education and coping strategies for pain management and relaxation. Ex- positive affirmations, positioning, massages. She is a strong advocate for her clients and can communicate her clients’ preferences to others if needed. This is due to her experience working with nurses in her previous corporate job as a healthcare recruiter. For postpartum support, Ayesha can provide emotional companionship. Her postpartum services are similar to a “mommy’s helper” where she can do laundry, groceries, and/or babysit if needed as requested by the client.

I trained with Michelle L'Esperance-Muñoz and Warm Welcome Doula Academy in western Massachusetts in and participated in BORN Collective's doula mentoring program in the SF Bay Area in Summer 2024 . I've also completed Hypnobabies Academy's online Hypnobirthing course. Additional influences for me as a birthworker include Ina May Gaskin, Dr. Rebecca Dekker (Evidence-Based Birth), Our Bodies, Ourselves, Liam Kali (Maia Midwifery & Fertility), Sabia Wade (Birthing Liberation) and Prentis Hemphill (What It Takes to Heal) I am a white, upper-middle class, well-educated out lesbian woman and part of the disability community. My interests besides birthwork include architecture and design, enjoying western Massachusetts and the San Francisco Bay Area's beautiful natural landscapes, and quality time with people and animals I love. Authenticity flows through my birthwork and enhances my capacity to understand and connect with people. I provide embodied, mindful, compassionate, knowledgeable accompaniment and witness for families of all kinds, including solo birthing people and those with existing support from a partner and birth team. I am especially excited to work with LGBTQ+ and disabled clients, along with families anticipating bringing a disabled kiddo into the world.
