Hospital birth, in search of prenatal visits, postnatal visit and birth support

Need help with latching baby without nipple shield. He has tongue and lip ties, waiting for ent referral.

I plan to give birth in a hospital. Not sure of a budget just yet, just exploring my options. This is my first birth and I am planning for a natural unmedicated birth.

i want to do a home birth if possible. i want to hopefully have everything covered by insurance. the goal i have for birth is to have an unmedicated natural home birth.

I am a first-time mom. This is my first pregnancy. I am unsure what to expect, where to start, how to take care of the little bean and myself. I am not sure how to create a birth plan or how to make one. I feel overwhelmed and lost.

Certified and experienced Lactation Consultant to evaluate/observe if lip tie is interfering with baby's bottle feeding. Many allergies at birth, stopped breast feeding and put on formula bottle feeding which agrees with baby. Doctor would like baby to get more that 20 ounces per day, but she doesn't often get that. She is healthy, however, just needs to eat more and gain more. She has a lip tie and saw a dentist. Told to consult a lactation expert to see if it may actually be interfering with baby drinking the bottle. Did not want to correct the lip tie if not necessary.

Baby boy is having a hard time latching. Right now I'm exclusively pumping to make sure he's eating but my supply is low. Maybe 4 oz per session and I try to pump at least 6 times a day. Would prefer in home lactation consultant as my baby is not yet fully vaccinated.

I would like to get her to latch. She has a lip tie(that I know of) and she is exclusively bottle fed and I pump. But I really want to nurse her! She is 3 months and it’s like she has severe nipple confusion or just hates my nipples. If she even feels my nipples she freaks out, but if I use a nipple shield, she’ll latch no issue! I have Medicaid insurance.

i'm looking for someone to advocate for me in the delivery room when i go to deliver my baby. i have a birth plan that i'd like to try to stick to as long as the baby and i are healthy. however, i'm not good at confrontation or speaking up for myself, which is why i'd like a birth doula. i'm also looking for a lactation consultant who can teach me the ins and outs of breastfeeding and pumping, as i'm a 20 year old first time mom and i have no idea what i'm doing or where to start. i'm not wanting to spend a ton of money by any means. i'm hoping to find someone who takes my insurance.

I am trying to get my baby back on the breast, but she only does so with a nipple shield. The nipple should we were gifted does not bring my nipple all the way to the edge so she does not eat long unless I constantly hand express.

I need an experienced lactation consultant specialist. I am a second time mom with breastfeeding/pumping concerns (possible change to latch, struggling/fussing and rejecting breast) and low milk supply/output. My 4 month old son also has GERD. His weight gain has dropped also. I am unsure of my budget at this time.

Ochsner or Metairie— in process of being determined; Medicaid—whatever it will cover; uncertain to birth plan but want to discuss. First pregnancy for 41 yr mom with history of depression and anxiety. Father involved but also quite emotionally unstable, no direct experience with childbirth or care of children. Mother’s family in Ohio, parents healthy but elderly, can come down to support but may or may not get to the birth.

My baby has recently done frenulectomy for tongue tie. She also has laryngomalacia. We thought the frenulectomy might help with breastfeeding but she still chokes and has difficulty with breastfeeding. She does a bit better with bottle feeding but it is kind of frustrating and difficult when unable to breastfeed my baby. So if i could find a help to breastfeed my baby despite her laryngomalacia that is what I am looking forward to.
