About me

Hi, I’m LaTory “Ms. Tory” Whitney — founder and creative director of The Maternal Concierge. My work is deeply rooted in helping families feel supported, cared for, and less alone during pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood. After spending over 30 years caring for children and supporting families, I realized that so many parents are trying to navigate one of the biggest transitions of their lives without enough real, connected support. That realization is what inspired me to create The Maternal Concierge — an ecosystem of trusted professionals designed to help families access compassionate care all in one place. I believe families deserve more than quick fixes or surface-level support. They deserve people who can truly see them, guide them, and help bring calm into the chaos of parenting. Through The Maternal Concierge, I help direct and connect families with aligned providers including doulas, newborn care specialists, lactation support, mental health professionals, wellness providers, and postpartum support teams who all believe in caring for the whole family, not just the baby. I’m also the founder of Whispering Lullabies and creator of the Sacred Sleep Method, a gentle, nervous-system-informed approach to sleep and family wellness that focuses on connection, regulation, and emotional safety. Whether I’m supporting families directly or helping build a stronger network of care behind the scenes, my goal is always the same: helping parents feel held, empowered, and supported during one of the most important seasons of their lives.

The concierge connection fee gives families guided access into The Maternal Concierge ecosystem of care so they do not have to navigate pregnancy, postpartum, newborn care, and family wellness alone. Families receive personalized guidance, answers to general support questions, trusted referrals, and thoughtful provider matching based on their unique needs and goals. My global experience in this industry has helped me pick the best of the best int he Hampton Roads. Instead of spending hours overwhelmed by information and trying to figure out what support is needed, we help simplify the process by connecting families with aligned professionals and resources they can trust. Provider services such as doula care, newborn care, overnight support, lactation, sleep support, and wellness services are then selected separately based on the level of care desired.
