Ideally I wanted a home birth but the cost was out of our budget this time around. So a Hospital birth is the plan, natural, minimal hospital interventions, and I want to have a professional there that is comfortable advocating for us during the times we want to enjoy birth. We want long golden hour, the baby to stay in the room the entire time, no bath, no pulling on the placenta, and a few other things.

I’m planning to have a natural birth at Sharp Mary birch. This is my first pregnancy. I am currently low risk with no uncommon issues. My birth plan is to labor down and in home for as long as possible. I want minimal interventions, but I am open to some if they are medically necessary. I prefer not to have an epidural or induction. I value quiet, dark, and calm environments. And would like to have immediate skin to skin, delayed cord clamping (until cord is white), and delay babies tests until after we’ve had a while to bond.

about budget- am currently shopping around. So i will keep the numbers to myself. I would like a home birth and probably transfer to the hospital after the golden hour. I need an older "wise woman" to support me. Would love a photographer. Someone willing to be as hands off as possible. VERY into evidence based care. Was planning a free birth but I'm a little nervus and would prefer a midwife. Am active duty military so hospital after birth is for documentation convenience.
